All the dishes and sandwiches are delicious. Make sure you try, for dessert, the RASPBERRY (or STRAWBERRY, BLACKBERRY etc) KUCHEN. Great value for money and, above all, it's a place where you can have lunch/dinner every day.

Reasonably priced cafe in centre of PV usually full of locals, shoppers and tourists. Service can be slow and not always friendly, looks a bit run down but quality and price good to very good.

A very popular restaurant with the locals and I rarely saw an obvious tourist there, except for myself. I ate there several times over my week in Puerto Varas. The portions are large and basic, eg the "plato del dia", and their sandwiches are huge. Many people go there for "onces" because they have a nice selection of pastries on... More

I stopped by on a Sunday evening for coffee and a pastry. I ordered a double espresso but it tasted more like an American, so I asked the waiter. He assured me it was a double but said they had recently changed their brand of coffee and noticed it wasn't as full-bodied as their previous brand. He did offer me... More

While looking for a lunch spot we noticed that this place was packed with locals and for good reason. The portion sizes were generous, the quality was excellent and reasonably priced. The service was attentive and considering the number of patrons the service was timely. Only wish we had room to try some of the many impressive looking deserts.

This was more of a local hangout than for the tourists but we stumbled upon it as it was only a few blocks from our hotel. We had just arrived in Puerto Varas and was looking for something to eat. We found the perfect spot. The menu, although a little faded was written in Spanish, English and German and the... More

Small, cosy place very well located in downtown Puerto Varas. Menu is in spanish, english and german. Lunch was ordered in less than 5 minutes and took about 10 minutes to be served, making great time. However, quality of the food did not completely match the service. Corn Pie was dry (good taste though) . I would recommend it anyway.
