Definitely same ambience as it has always been for the past years. Only difference would be course reduction and price increase.
Decided to go for the 7 course. No change for the foie gras and bread so those 2 still tasted alright. Other dishes were...alright but not as strong in delivering as compared to the past. Very light and flat so you have to pay attention to the components when they're explaining or you'll end up guessing. 2 things that I'd miss is the dungeoness crab due to the texture of the rice, and the petit four because my financier was burnt and hard.More
visited using the citibank prestige dining promo late last year. based on it being a 1-michelin star, I think the food menu and service could be improved. Perhaps, the menu was curated for a discounted citibank menu costing about $200 and thus, I didn't feel...that it has delighted us as a 1-michelin star restaurant offering quality food, unique presentation and fabulous service. It is not that they didn't use expensive food ingredients, it is just that the creations somehow weren't exciting which cause diners to keep drawing parallel to other similar places which they may have dined before.
aside, the service crew spoke so softly that I can't hear most of the time on the dish I am having. The other guests around us were louder (not that they were shouting).More
Lovely Pre-Valentine 5 course lunch. Chef Haikal & Zaini have amazed us again with a wonderfully woven tapestry of flavours that just unravels in our mouths. To top it off, Manager Saravana and his team elevate the dining experience to a higher level with their...warmth and personal attentiveness. Leave the wine selection to him. Cant wait to return.More
Alma lives up to its Michelin star reputation with its clever rendition of creative dishes that are tantalising to both the sight and the palate. Friendly service from Saravana and his colleagues adds further warmth to the restaurant’s cosy ambience. The price point, especially for...its lunch course, makes Alma a steal-worthy Michelin experience for any culinary enthusiast looking to embark on their next gastronomic adventure.More
Had our wedding lunch and dinner here. Food was excellent, service was great, setting was nice and cosy, manager Saravana was very attentive and put us very much at ease. Our guests also enjoyed themselves thoroughly. There were a few minor lapses in communication but...we managed to sort them out or were still ok with it.
We appreciate the overall experience and will return to dine again.More
