I was doing work- & staycation at Fairmont so wanted to come here for dimsum lunch based on good reviews. Booked 1 week in advance on 21st Aug via their website and received email confirmation. Upon arrival on 28th Aug, my name was not on their list, and showed them my email confirmation. They assigned a lousy table besides the fish tanks near the kitchen. No apologies given, except the lady in charge of the entrance asked for my contact so she could check if they had wrongly listed me on other day, but never came back. In better restaurant, I would have gotten some sort of complimentary drinks/appetisers, guess this is not 5-star service but price is definitely not worth their service. We did not wait long for the dimsum, overall taste so-so. Teochew dumpling night wok hey taste. Do not order the hot & sour soup, extremely disappointing. At last the Fried Taro saved the day, and they are currently extending 20% discount except for promotional items.

Love their service staff and their food. Special shout-out to Mr. Peter Chow, he always recommends good and yummy dishes for the family. My child is very picky, but she managed to finished her big bowl of rice just with their daily doubled boiled soup!!!!!!

On a Sunday afternoon we decided to have a quality lunch. The restaurant was popular with families for their Tim sum and specials on offer. We chose 3 dishes of tim sum which tasted good. From their Har Kow, pan fried carrot cake and shrimp with bean curd skin was deliciously good. We ordered their sharks fin soup on a hot stone, and braised abalone. It’s quality food and tasted awesome. They had a promotion for $38/bowl and $48/ abalone respectively. For dessert their Ornee (yam paste with ginkgo Nuts) is nice. They have an extensive menu. Service was prompt and friendly.

I have been here on several occasions; even an Indian friend of mine who doesn’t quite like Chinese food - likes the food here. This evening I made a few interesting discoveries. Firstly they do serve dishes that are not inside the menu. The Captain recommended Claypot liver - and it was excellently done! He said this is not always available hence it isn’t in the menu. Secondly, the other dish that is not present in the menu but you could request for is baked prawns with white pepper. Simply heavenly. And that’s all I’ll write. Because everything is as good as as usual. Obviously, we will continue to patronise :-)

My wife and her friends ordered the roast meat combination, priced at $36 on the menu. When asked, the waitress said that it consisted of roast duck, roast pork and char siu. When the bill came they were astounded to find that the dish was charged at $48! When they questioned the waitress, she said that it was because they had ordered three meats rather than two. This was not made clear in the menu. The manager was called, one Tony Chew. Instead of apologising for the mistake, he was impolite and stated that he would cut the difference from the waitress’s salary. This is a shabby way to respond. It was evidently a pressure tactic to force them to pay for something they would not have ordered had they been informed properly when they first asked. Increasing the price of a dish surreptitiously is akin to cheating. Let the diner beware. They are regular customers. This is not the way to retain customer loyalty. The restaurant has lost our business and that of our friends and family.

First time visiting this restaurant. Was planning a birthday dinner for my mother in law. My husband and I, went 2 days in advance to the restaurant for dinner, just to try their food and talk to the manager to arrange menu and tables for our family of about 20. On the actual night of my mum in law's birthday, was shocked to find that the lady manager did not give us the tables as agreed, with partitions. Instead, we were given 2 tables right in the middle of the restaurant, totally cramped in by other tables and 1 of them was right in the kitchen's service path!! When asked, she said, Oh! Need minimum spend for partitioned tables. So, why was that not discussed with us at all - when you knew exactly what we are ordering and the price. Totally dishonest lady manager!! Be careful!! No integrity at all.

This was our first time dining at the new location at Fairmont. The eatery was packed and there did not seem to be enough staff, though they did their best. There was some complication with our orders, and the yusheng that we ordered ended up being our last dish, as the dim sum and other dishes arrived before that. The dim sum like siew mai, har kow, yam bundle, cheong fun with prawns, char siew pau, crispy pork belly and deep fried bean curd were nice, and made fresh. We also liked the fried silver fish, melon soup with seafood, and steamed dumpling with shark fin. Some dishes were just okay, and these included dough fritters with squid, har cheong chicken that was fresh but did not have much har cheong taste, and carrot cake that was not so good. Many tables ordered the Beijing duck, though we did not have that as we were quite full. There are two seatings - one at 1130 am and the other at 115 pm. By 230 pm, staff were asking patrons for last orders and to settle their bills. Overall, the experience was okay, though not as pleasant as eating at the previous location.

Since its recent reopening in Fairmont, I have already been here no fewer than four times. The standard is exactly the same as before. Star dishes, amongst numerous fantastic offerings, are the Peking duck, drunken prawns, steamed fish, steamed chicken soup in coconut. Service is also very attentive,. This remains within my top five cantonese restaurant recommendations in Singapore. It is almost always full whether weekday or weekend, so it is wise to make a reservation.

The reopening of this restaurant does not live up to the name as used as used to be. The standard of the dishes has drop. It believe the hawker Zhi cha can do better. The prices of all dishes is extremely over price. Ok to pay more but this standard cannot qualify the pricing. Service is slow. Don't recommend .

Had dim sum lunch with my family recently and the food was great as always. Peking duck and bamboo clams were excellent; consistent dim sum nibbles. Staff was attentive and warm, very delightful experience for my parents who have been kept at home. They happy most important. Good crowd and restaurant has set high standards and professionalism even in a trying covid situation. Safe distancing measures and covid protocols were observed and hygiene well practiced. Thank You.

Supposedly famous for its dim sum, my husband£ and I found them disappointing, we tried a fair few but none worth mentioning. The seafood hor fun was bland without any wok hei.

Asia Grand has been around for a long time and the go-to place for many like me, for dim sum and Peking Duck in Singapore. The restaurant closed for a bit when Odeon Towers made way for a new building but Asia Grand resurfaced at Fairmont Hotel: across the road at Raffles City but bigger, grander and still always packed with customers. As mentioned, they are famed for their consistently good dim sum. Their Peking Duck is also one of the best in town and certainly the least expensive; with their promotion price if you spend more than one hundred dollars. The duck is carved at your table and served with the usual condiments. I must add I prefer the thicker homemade pancake but guess it will make the dish very filling. The duck meat is served as two drumsticks and the rest of meat can be minced and stir fried to be eaten on crispy lettuce. One tends to over order at Asia Grand and hence I usually take home the minced duck and lettuce home. Speaking of over ordering, my other favourite is their clay pot rice. It is done Hong Kong style with excellently sourced cured meat such as lup cheong and liver sausage. The rice draws the fragrance from the preserved meats and one can top it with the delicious gravy. It is served with large leaves of choy sum which makes it a wholesome meal in itself. The rice stucked on the claypot can be used to cook a soup with crispy rice. My colleague and I used to order only this one dish at lunch. These are my staples at Asia Grand but do try their long list of dim sum and menu items. Recently manager Jackie recommended a seasonal pea shoot (dou miao) from China: it was simply stirred fried sans the usual garlic or oyster sauce; and it was fabulous. Last but not least, boss Andy Chau (cannot miss him in his fancy designer jackets and shoes) has well trained his staff: despite being a large restaurant, they provide excellent and personal service. If you haven’t been to Asia Grand, you must make a reservation and try it: it will become one of your go-to Chinese restaurants too.

Nice ambience and one of the best services in Singapore in terms of efficiency and friendliness. The food is good. They have all the dishes of Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck, but somehow every single dish is a bit less flavourful! At $58++ (if your total bill is $100), the Peking Duck is a good deal.

Very tasty dumplings, crispy chicken and fried rice. A lovely little restaurant in Raffles City - mainly with locals so you know it’s good! Great staff too!
