I think everyone knows the food at Burnt Ends is outstanding. When we visited lately, I had an incident which left me displeased. I won't go into the details but what I want to highlight is the exceptional way that my concerns were dealt with....In all my years in Singapore, I have never seen better customer service ever – the staff working that evening would have stood on their heads to make the situation right. Everyone makes mistakes but the effort put forth by Burnt Ends to rectify things is to be applauded and congratulated. Above and beyond. You guys are doing lots of things right!More

Been seeing a lot of average reviews about this place but I beg to differ. Our experience was great. It really depends on whether you are looking for simply food executed brilliantly (à la Burnt Ends), or fancy experimental food which is not really my...vibe (à la Odette). I think the Michelin is very well deserved. If you're looking for the latter, however, this is not the place for you. The ambience is casual and the fare is simple with a surprising twist. We had the omakase chef's select and were very satisfied. We tried at least 12 dishes. I recommend getting the chef's select if it's your first time here as there are odd sounding dishes which are delights, and many hidden gems in the off-menu dishes. Have your server recommend the portion as the chef's select might be too much, our server curated a private menu with a range of dishes slightly smaller than the chef's select option. This ended up being a tad cheaper than the chef's select menu options! I particularly enjoyed the dishes I least expected to like. The duck's heart and chicken neck were good. For the off-menu dishes I really liked the beef marmalade. The snacks were great. I didn't think the mains (King crab and blackmore steak) were as mind-blowing (which is probably what the other reviewers tried) but they were well-executed classics. Would definitely come back for the snacks! TLDR: get the tasting menu if possible because the snacks and small plates are the highlights, get the pulled pork burger if you're on a budget!More

I had been trying to book a table online forever but never could. Finally managed to walk in on a weekday lunch with my friend. We had no choice but to stay outside but good that it was well ventilated. The waiter recommended lots of...starters - I think about 5 and then the sirloin steak as our main. There were quail eggs with caviar, bread with some spiced pork on top, a sort of arroz caldo with sous vide egg and mushrooms, and some others that didn't really make an impression. Then when the steak finally arrived, all that great marbling was drowned in an overwhelming, cloyingly sweet sauce. What a waste. The steak would've been great with just salt. The dessert was some fruit tart and it was just so-so but tasted way better than the steak. That's how bad it was. We ended up spending about 130SGD each and I've never felt so disappointed about anything. The only redeeming factor was that I had a 200SGD voucher so I didn't have to pay full. Still glad to have tried it once so I can finally put all that hype to rest.More

Visited for lunch . Ordered quail eggs, pork mustard , egg plant , Sanger burger, grilled asparagus , beef, lamb kebab, grilled fish with some zesty cabbage slaw, beef and the berry tart for Dessert. Expected much more from one of Asia best restaurant ....Was looking for a distinctive taste that would leave an impression . Everything was underwhelming.More

Even though the food here is expensive, you are getting what you are paying for. Ordered the eggplant dish, the Burnt End burger, lamp chops, and beef. It was super good and very juicy. It is very hard to get a booking though, so you...have to camp at the website at 10am as the slots will open 30 days in advanced.More

Chef's select for the night. Had been wanting to try this place even before they got the star but the waiting list is insane unless you're willing to dine outside which isn't that bad honestly. Every dish is mainly served in 1 biters. May seem...very little but over the courses, you WILL fill up quickly. My favourite was the quail egg caviar tart, smoky, rich and savoury. Also, after dining here, you'd understand how the name 'burnt ends' was derived. They really do deliver something in the burnt factor for every dish. The place is usually packed so be expected to wait to dine. It isn't a large compound so it can be quite crammed up or noisy inside depending on the other diners. Therefore, alfresco isn't that bad at all just minus the ac. The place serves alcohol as well with a few aussie beers,wines and bartenders to prep your cocktails.More

The food was tasty but very hyped up and disappointed with the portion sizes especially the pathetic bamboo shoots for the price you pay! In addition it’s impossible to get a booking, we only managed to get a table outside via walk ins which wasn’t...the best in SG heat. A one off dining experience..More

After trying to make reservations for over a year without success, managed to get a walk-in for outdoor seating on a weekday! The food was absolutely outstanding, very exquisite like something ‘handcrafted’! Service was something that deserved special mention. Plates and cutlery were changed after...almost every course and without asking. Food was served and explained while checking for feedback. It started raining heavily towards the end of our meal and the only wish was if we were sitting indoor. Honestly what requires massive improvement is the reservation system which should be opened earlier than a month in advance. Personally I find it hard to believe that in a place like SG, that offers so many great food options, people make bookings on the clock and the place gets booked out within seconds of opening. I see reviews here on booking made separately based known customers/ favouritism and cannot completely disregard this having failed to get reservations after trying for more than a year and several email followups. Have been to several top restaurant in SG including Michellin stars and never faced such a challenge. A great place for food indeed but a restaurant thrives on both food and reputation. Something for the management to perhaps think about. Will of course want to visit again but depending on reservation availability!More

Staff were excellent. Food was average in my view. Far better restaurants for meat in Singapore and many of those much cheaper than Burnt Ends. The chicken appetiser was shockingly small and pretty tasteless. The "Sanger" (pulled pork bun) was very good. Best thing we...had. Steak was fine but nothing to write home about Summary: Nothing to dislike but I just hoped for so much more from this placeMore

Had high hopes for this establishment given the rave reviews and the impossible task of getting reservations. Perhaps it’s all about expectations. While the ingredients were fresh, the cooking was common, flavours rather predictable. In need of more flair and creativity. Not quite a disappointment,...yet not worthy of a repeat, much less the mad wait for reservations.More

Walk in around noon (Friday and Saturday) or around 6pm might the best option as somehow challenging on the website - you need to be lucky for that but it worth’s it
