The atmosphere is buzzing with crowd of indians dining in this eatery. The orders were taken quickly and without fuss. The food arrived a bit delayed but the waiters were smiling and friendly. Gd service.
Excellent customer service "credits going to Mr prabhakaran" must try for the Mee Goreng,PAAL AAPAM, masala tea and Payasam its our personal favourite food for this restaurant, not forgetting their famous briyani.
FOOD SERVED COLD
We had our dinner at Sakunthala Changi Business Park. The food was served cold, Had to request the waiter to warm the chicken dish. The chicken dish was bland and with bones. The staff looked bored and ineffective. The tables and chairs...were uncomfortable. It is not a restaurant quality instead a run off the mill eatery, probably good enough for the foreign ah nehs.More
Sakunthala's at Dunlop Street is one of our first choices to go to when we are in off days. Do note that Sakunthala's has a few branches in Little India but the one in Dunlop Street is our favourite and is often the most crowded...compared to the other outlets. Prices are also cheaper here than in other outlets. We would like to highly recommend this restaurant.service was very good.our waitress Mr Prabhakaran is an adorable blonde, very personable and very efficient.Food was very yummy.I strongly recommend the briyani rice, Mysore mutton, chicken sambal, vegetarian foods, fish curry juicy pal appam, payasam and more.(ALL DELICIOUS MEALS)Thank you!!!!More
We ate some plain briyani with some mutton varuval. The meat dish was so different in texture. I simply wonder whether it was a recycled a few times and reheated. It tasted very imittaion. We saw many adverts promoting this restaurant. So wanted to give...a try. Hmm....though ambience was good, meat dises needs alot of improvement.More
I’ve been coming to Singapore for many years and each time I come I make sure I eat at sakunthala’s on Dunlop Street a few times. The food never fails to be one of the best. The service excellent and the price very reasonable. This...is one very satisfied customerMore
I and my family try the food at this restaurant Shakuntala Indian cuisine the food is nice the fish head curry is good should try it i love the food the service was good 👍 not really spicy i love spicy food but try it...some might love some might not
Sakunthala's has a modern decor which is more international than Indian (no Ganesha's, no Lakshmi's, no sitars strumming in the background etc) - and is a restaurant where the food, freshly prepared, is the focus.
The comprehensive menu features a wide choice of traditional and...authentic vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes and offers them at reasonable prices. Service is friendly and efficient, with tables turning mostly within the hour.
A useful address for Little India visitors - but less so for marriage proposals.
Sakunthala's at Dunlop Street is one of my first choices to go to when I am around the Little India area. Do note that Sakunthala's has a few branches in Little India but the one in Dunlop Street is my favourite and is often the...most crowded compared to the other outlets. Prices are also cheaper here than in other outlets. If you are a fan of prawn, do order their Malabar prawns. Its usually sold out fast so you got to go earlier during lunch to try this item that is actually NOT in the menu :)More
