Based on reviews, this place looked to be one of those trendy, rough diamonds amongst the myriad of restaurants in Singapore. How wrong we were: The highlight being a nice welcome from a female member of staff on arrival. We ordered drinks - coke, water...More

Went for lunch. The lunch menu has less options than the dinner menu. Had the nasi lemak. It was pretty average. Nothing special at all. Had a Belgium beer on tap. It was interesting. Very expensive at about $17 though. Not sure whether the restuarant...More

We'd read so much about Wok and Barrel that we thought we would give it a try. The lunch buffet was a great deal. We ate, and ate and ate and ate...and ate even more. My absolute favorite...wait for it....rendang pizza!!! But seriously, everything was...More

First and foremost believe the hype that you may read in other reviews -congrats to Chen tan on a Creative menu that should have something for everyone. The rendang pizza seems to always be mentioned in other reviews and with some trepidation we ordered this...More

Wok and Barrel is a concept that appeals to me too much to write an unbiased review, but I'll try. I say that because there are very few places that serve very well made hawker food with a very good beer list, including Jungle Beer...More

I visited Singapore and stayed with my Singaporean friend who recommended Wok and Barrel because it's one of the few places she knows of that serves actual Singaporean food (whatever that is conceptualized as). Walking into this place, I didn't really know what to think,...More

Highly, highly recommend the nasi lemak at Wok & Barrel. It comes with either pork or mutton or curry chicken but my personal fave (and it will be hard to get me to order any other) is the beef rendang. Comes with 2 different types...More

A no fuss eatery that focuses not on ambience but on the quality and taste of their food. The Nasi Lemak (rice cooked with coconut milk) is fragrant and it goes so well with the choice of dishes that include crispy pork, beef rendang, mutton,...More

The Wok and Barrel serves traditional hawker food, souped up to justify a higher price, along with a selection of international beers and ciders. (I had a Swedish berry cider which was the girliest, pinkest drink I've had in ages.) The beef rendang is very,...More

Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights,
enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The
