I was somewhat disappointed with their wine selection and also their 5 course sicilian journey menu. The food is not good quality. The truffles come from a jar. The location is quite nice though and the staff is friendly.

Very disappointing experience. With One-star award, I would expect more. The foods are not bad for no-star. But does it worth for one-star-Michelin ? I doubt so. Food : 5-course meals 1)The octopus is tasty yet over burnt ,ended up with rubbery texture. 2)The squid...ink pasta added with chilly sauce - yes trying to be innovative. Gosh . Nope. Please don't insult Italian foods. The best squid ink pasta i ever had in Italy at Carpi, the squid ink pasta should represent the sweetness of sea foods . 3) truffle ravioli - the portion is very small even for ONE person Service : 1) There is no phone call for confirmation again before 24-hour (not Michelin Star standard) 2) We had to try to get attention from the staff twice in order to get our bread. Yet the other table , who were only having business lunch got their bread right away. Make me wonder because I am local Singaporean and not a white thus I being ignored. After thoughts: Will I go there again ? No. BIG NO. Please stop putting chilly sauce into sea urchin Pasta. NO !!! It's not creative . It totally killed /covered the sweetness/freshness of sea urchin. To the chief - Sometimes, the less is more. It's true in both in fashion and food !More

I've tried virtually all the Western/Fusion restaurants along Tras Street, with several notable ones enjoying high ratings but require reservation weeks in advance. Gattopardo is one that I was able to book on same day on Sat, which is what my wife and I prefer...to do for weekend dining out. We also prefer degustation menus and Gattopardo's prices are not overly exorbitant compared to some others. The seafood served were fresh and ingredients well complemented. Unlike some of the other European style, the presentation is relatively simple, no fuss or frills, and we kind of like it that way. I, for one, am not so taken by the pretty small dishes served in the fancier restaurants. The wine pairing was also good value for the quality. The dining experience was enhanced by the three nice staff serving us, who were witty and engaging, yet not intrusive. Tina was charming, Raul was competent and attentive, and Giedrius, the sommelier, was informative, in more ways than one. Chef Giovanni also came by at the end of dinner for a nice chat. The experience suits us as a couple, married for decades, looking for a night out that was more than enjoying good food. We would be back again.More

Great food cooked in a real Mediterranean way: Pasta cooked Al Dente Sword fish with a fantastic caponata And finally a fantastic dessert that only a Sicilian knows how to make it

The fear was real...a party of 5, and we couldn't get a booking anywhere else in Singapore except Gattopardo. In hindsight, I guess that was the first sign! Upon arriving, the service was decent (can't complain) and we had a nice round table upstairs. They...were very obliging to taking photos of us, and even opened up the wine in each glass after pouring - a good touch you don't see often. The key downside for us was the set menu. Although there was flexibility if you were a veg, or no beef etc, it was pricey & the real killer was no alternative for dessert. I mean it's Christmas!!! Dessert is what makes the food coma worth it. Time between courses was too slow, and so unfortunately by the time we were on course 2, we were contemplating what to do with the rest. A couple of salt baked fishes had the pleasure of sleeping in my friends fridge for the evening. All in all, a 5-6 experience. Not rushing back, but not saying never again. Probably need to try the a la carte option...More

I visited Gattopardo for good food and drink. The food was decent and the Chianti Classico pleased me. However the experience was marred by a Caucasian waiter who told my friend not to blow his nose because it was COVID time! He has allergic rhinitis...triggered by food a long-standing problem. We cleared temperature screening. My friend who was upset left a review on Facebook. He felt the food was average. The main crux of his review was the offensive waiter. The chef pestered us for 5 minutes at the exit after he chased after us as we already left. Clearly he needs anger management and better staff training. Despite spending more than $500 for two I am left with a highly negative experience of this restaurant. Some people succeed. Others deserve to fail.More

I paid $600 to be told off by the Chef and sommelier! The first time I came here they had an a la carte menu. This time they didn’t. Service staff explained that they no longer have an a la carte menu because some of...the items were not moving leading to food wastage. I stupidly posted a review on my OWN Facebook before I left the restaurant that it was a “lame excuse for not having an a la carte menu”. The Chef was angered by the above comment but it IS a FACT that they do not have an a la carte menu. He was also offended that I described his food as “average” and “ok”. Secondly, its my OPINION that the excuse of non moving items is lame - I’m entitled to have an opinion on their excuse. The Italian sommelier told me to stop blowing my nose at the table because of corona, something I always do because I have sniffing nose when eating - I eat out everyday and since the restaurants opened on 2 June, no one has so flagrantly told me off for doing so. The Chef was very angry with the Facebook post and confronted me and my friend outside the restaurant to explain why he didn’t have an a la carte menu - that it’s his business and his decision and he imports ingredients from everywhere. It was not a polite confrontation but an aggressive confrontation and I walked away. The marketing team commented on my Facebook post that food is subjective and implied I have no manners 🤷🏼‍♂️ Food IS subjective and I didn’t criticize his food - I just said it’s average and ok. Judging by the other response to the other negative reviews, the owner chef seems to have a problem with self righteousness. Try to avoid this place its a waste of money. Go to Garibaldi or Casa Tartufo the food is much betterMore

Having been to many Singapore Italian restaurants, Gattopardo was full of amazing surprises. The food is really tasty and well prepared (fish in salt was really awesome) and it was a really good experience. Top part was Mr. Giedrius, sommelier and manager, who recommended great...wine (changed my selection, ha!), desert wine and was handling the whole service crew to perfection. It's on my list to be a regular place. P. S. This is review for 2nd floor of restaurant, which is more upscale, floor 1 is casual so different experience.More

A high quality Italian resto - for its food and service. We had free flow brunch there and the food was fantastic and servings were generous. Service was impeccable. Lovely ambience as well. Good value.

The warm food arrived on time and they called to ensure everything was in order. Food was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend their Ravioli and Zuppa. The Ravioli has the right creamy consistency (Not to mention the generous amount of shaved Truffles on the pasta) and the...Zuppa was refreshingly tasty. For desserts, the wife was gushing with compliments on the Tiramisu. I rarely hear her rave about how heavenly a Tiramisu is, so this must be divine. In this stay home situation in Singapore...it was a wonderful celebration of Mothers Day with my missus and kids.More
