Singapore's first African themed cafe and lounge taking up all three floors of a shop house in the gorgeous Keong Saik area. UTU is a cosy refuge away from the hustle bustle of everyday life. Our award winning Baristas serve our house blend, named “Ubuntu”, a blend of beans from Uganda, Mexico and Brazil . You can expect a rich buttery texture with hints of cashew nuts & brown sugar, subtle notes of red wine, caramelised apricot acidity and an intense dark chocolate finish. We believe that for a coffee to be great, you have to use not only great beans but also great milk! We exclusively use Hokkaido Milk, extra creamy, extra wonderful. UTU serves up a full brunch menu as well as authentic dishes

We went here with friends for dinner. I had the goat curry, two had the fish curry and one had the peanut chicken curry. The food was very tasty, but spicy, which I love. For our two friends, it was too spicy. The staff were...More

We decided to come here on a Saturday morning for brunch. It was my first time trying out African cuisine, and I guess I was not adventurous enough to order any African inspired dishes plus I wanted to have something light/healthy that morning, so I...More

My husband and I enjoyed our afternoon coffee here. He was particularly in love with 'Ibada Ritual' in which he's never tasted a coffee so unique and strong as it was. Didn't try the food but will sure come back and explore more.

For a taste of culture that is a continent away. Singapore has got most cuisines covered but African is absolutely exotic. There’s nothing subtle about the place. Arresting photography graces the walls. African art and furniture whisk you to a geography away. The food is...More

Food is good but I find that the service is poor. Staff were unfriendly except for 1 lady. Level 1 space was too noisy. Felt dizzy and uncomfortable.

The food was spicy and very delicious. I would recommend the chicken peanut butter stew. The hotcakes are a must have!

Elegant décor (especially the upper floors). Nice African ambient music. Friendly service from a waitress with a brand new iPhone 11 Pro Max. We were the only guests for lunch on a weekday, yet the food took 30 minutes to come out. It is good,...More

This restaurant is located outside of usual tourist area being at Outram Park - nonetheless a very modest MRT ride or a few minutes walk from the business district. Not a large restaurant despite being on 2 floors so pre- booking advisable or be prepared...More
