The restaurant could pride itself on insulting customers. As soon as we entered, nobody even responded for the next 10 minutes. When we ordered, the waitress felt like doing a favor taking order. Not only did she say "no" for everything asked, she was so impatient and rude. When we wanted to add something to the order, she refused saying... More

Their special Thali, especially on special days, is simply superb! It is a south Indian thali with typical dishes, and they are all really tasty. We have never been disappointed in this dish of their. We do frequent their place on Selegie road (opposite Village hotel) and not this one, but their central kitchen is the same, so this dish... The breakfast we had here was AMAZING. We are not that familiar with Indian cuisine, so we just let them recommend us something. We ended up with Ydly and Dosa which were both extremely tasty and still on our minds :-) The price is also really good. To find it: if you are standing at the entrance of the Tekka... More

Eat with the locals. Daily set menus available which give a good variety and value. Self service but staff happy to take time to advise on choice and qualities.

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
