Had to see what the fuss was all about since its been featured on Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern's programs. Gordon Ramsey took on and lost the food challenge too. It tasted interesting with the cockles in the soup. However the broth was not rich tasting enough and the chill packet sauce was not spicy enough. Would have appreciated fresh... More

This is a must-go place during my visits to SG every time. The laksa is so good that I am still not able to find anything similar in other places / cities.

Visited this restaurant or cha cheng teng instead thanks to some local friends who talked about it a lot. It serves a very good Laksa in 2 sizes and only 1 combination. That's it and you can't go wrong. The laksa is very tasty and comes with already cut noodles so that you only need a spoon to eat it.... More

Not too bad, healthier version of laksa without too much coconut milk used ( I get dizzy after eating coconut milk). But the service needs to be improved. The staff was adamant in customers sitting according to the table layout. Thus my group of 3 has to be split up, with me sitting alone. :( It just didn't make sense... More

I will say this is the food which you should not miss in Katong. Normally people eat noodles with chopsticks and spoon. I was being given spoon only when I made the payment. Then I tried to hunt for chopsticks around with though of self service. I couldn't find it and put up a request to the cashier. He told... More

We went there because of many reviews on the net saying how good it was. Once we ordered, the laksa came out very quickly. It consisted of tiny mussels, chopped up strips of fish cake, noodles, chilli sauce and laksa soup. It was very meagre in terms of ingredients and quality was decidedly average. I even found grit in some... More

I was really disappointed after trying this store that many people recommended. It was really diluted and quite bland in taste. Even adding a big spoonful of chilli didn't improve the taste. And it was also very costly at S$5.35 for a small bowl. I definitely will not be back.

I like the occasional laksa but thankfully I don't crave it the way others do. Well, we drove all the way to Katong for the famous 328 Katong Laksa just after having binged on kway chup in the Macpherson area, followed by Feng and Seybak at Ceylon Road! At 328, they don't provide chopsticks because the Laksa noodles are cut... More

The 328 Katong Laksa located along East Coast Road still serves the best Laksa in Singapore. ...even Gordon Ramsey thought so! For those new to laksa - request without "hum"(cockles) as this would be an acquired taste. They will add more prawns instead! This particular laksa noodles have been cut so you can eat it with your spoon. Ask for... More
