The key to finding great chicken rice, Singapore’s national dish, was to head for the hawker stand with the longest line. My son waited in line for 30 minutes and we agreed it was worth the wait. Be prepared to pay in cash but the...More

Had to come to Tian Tian while in Singapore. Was there early and had a line of 10 in front of us. Very basic chicken and rice dish, but done extremely well. It was also $3-4. Can't complain!

One of the best Hainanese Chicken that we had. Served slightly differently from other places: no black soy or minced ginger, but tasted great just the same. We could see another shop with the same name but we followed the queue just to be on...More

Given the hype, I'd expected this place to be amazing. What a crushing disappointment it was. Little flavour, service without a smile and a long queue. So many better places in this market.

Almost all chinese businesses close during Chinese New Year. That is the only time in the year they are closed. Tian Tian should be no exception.

It depends on when they run out of chicken. Sometimes as early as 4PM. If it's closed, you can always try out the nearby Ah Tai Chicken Rice stall. It's run by Tian Tian's ex-cook, and closes by 8PM :)
