We were invited by locals and we very surprised. Although it's right behind the keraton, the place was not overrun and only locals. It is a buffet-style restaurant. Which means you choose your food yourself and than pay. At the chasier you order your drinks...More

This restaurant is just around the corner from the royal palace and water castle. There’s a musician providing soothing traditional music for the patrons and the restaurant is in a building with charming traditional architecture. Lunch is from 11am – 3pm, I arrived at 2pm...More

Great selection of foods and desserts. After this visit (I like to try everything) you might see a bit more spicy dishes. Traditional Indonesian music (live) is played while you feast.

I came to pendopo ndalem at night. They serve "nasi kucing" complete with its side dish and there is also bakmi jogja. Too bad the taste is just so so and cold because they can't re-heat it.

We arrived after the usual lunch crowd (about 2:15) so the restaurant was quite quiet. There was a musician quietly playing as we arrived. They brought cool wet towels as we sat down - a nice touch that appears to be prevalent in most restos...More

Went here after visiting The Sultans Palace. It offers some varieties of Indonesian food as a buffet. Food wasn't that great and was disappointing. They serve various juices and that wasn't good either. The place looks a bit run down. Although the service was good....More
