If I come to Yogya, my family always ask for Gudeg Yu Djum, one of the most authentic food in Yogya, some say its too sweet, but it should taste like that, krecek with gudeg, egg and chicken...yummy..

The services is terrible. I know we came at hectic hours, but thats not an excuse to serve your customers not friendly.

I'm not sure if the real-authentic gudeg in Yogyakarta are cooked very sweet, or this is only how Gudeg Yu Djum cook this food. The gudeg in here was nice, I ate it anyway. But I prefer another gudeg next time. Too sweet for me.

If you are looking for the authentic gudeg for your family and friends who are not familiar with the sweet taste of gudeg, then gudeg yu djum is the safest choice. The price is reasonable and I think gudeg yu Djum is the most well known gudeg from Yogyakarta. The best thing about gudeg yu Djum is that it is... More

Local gudeg place, recommended by our driver ("if we did not mind sitting on the floor while eating"). Gudeg curry was very good (sweet curry, so dont expect spicy food!), and as a tourist I was happy I could opt-out of the fried cow-skin.

I was visited the restaurant in saturday morning. The place was still quite :). Me and my wife ordered nasi gudeg with an egg and shreded chicken. When i first taste this gudeg, i felt that this gudeg is not as sweet as other people said. The gudeg was rich in flavor and also tasty. Definitely will come to this... More

The restaurant's location is not easy to find. Parking is difficult too. The place is shabby. Service is indifferent. No smile no greeting. The gudeg itself wasnt too bad. Not the kind of taste I like but my husband who grew up in Central Java thinks it's delicious. Definately pricey.

It's gudeg, the most famous traditional food in Yogyakarta. Made from jackfruit with many spices, cook in hours, served with krecek. Although it's kind of dish, it tastes sweet. So it may not acceptable in some palate.

This is the real Gudeg taste in Yogyakarta. But you must order extra rice to make you full... I think the Gudeg is not balace with the rice portion. Better you order Gudeg Besek or Gudeg Kendil, and take it away... Eat with your Gudeg at home is better choise than dine in....

Thank Martinus I
