If we can give note below 0, I will. Poor buffet, untasty food, who make chinese food terrible, please change your master chief, he desohors our prefer food. Service was pretty good, sorry for you guys...
As the other restaurants at the Mulia were temporeraly closed, a small selection of their respective food was added to the offerings available at the Chinese restaurant 'Table 8' which remained open.
With health and safety in mind, dinners were separated by large perspex dividers...which had been erected on each table. Sharing a table now was akin to eating out with security minded bank tellers or perhaps visiting hour at a maximum security prison.
Safety measures seemed to have been elegantly implemented.
The interior design of Table 8 is simply stunning.
On this occasion we reserved a private room. The service was impeccable. The waiters were all attentive and friendly.
The food was a good international selection and the wine was smooth.
I ate at Table8 a few weeks ago as it was one of the only restaurants open in Jakarta during the lockdown and had a very nice experience. I returned tonight with friends to find the stupidest table setup due to Covid. Can you picture...this. There are 4 of us sitting on a round table all divided by clear panels between each other right to the centre of the table. I assume that the hotel assumes that most customers are going to order buffet but we went Al a Carte Chinese sharing amongst the 4 of us. Well with these dividers it just doesn’t work. We were planning to also go there tomorrow night with another group of friends but have now booked an alternate restaurant as this setup is just ridiculous and is like eating in a prison. I have been eating at other restaurants throughout this week in Jakarta and whilst others are all practicing social distancing the management at Table 8 have just taken it too far. We certainly won’t be back until the table setup situation changes as there are far too many other good restaurants to give our money too in these trying times.More
Very good restaurant for having meals and nice ambience & chinese decoration. You will love and find a lot of very good taste there. I love the variety taste of duck and the Grill food. Kepiting / Sea Food Saus Padang is one of the...best choice. Besides flower tea, also Lychee Ice Tea are my favourite drinks.
Even Better if : When The manager brief the staff is very annoying, should not too loud and i think should more polite (if He do that at the back stage, i dont care, but this time I saw and heard, and too annoying). Another Senior staff there is nice.
So , I think my score for today's brunch/lunch for :
1. Restaurant & Taste : **** (very good)
2. Staff Hospitality : ** (poor) - (mungkin sudah merasa terlalu laku, dan harga tidak menjadi masalah bagi some people, sehingga lupa akan hospitality & kenyamanan dari staff).
We went there for lunar new year eve dinner and we got the schedule at 20.30 (lunar dinner package). First, the service was terrible. We waited for a long time for the food to get served and we called the waiter a lot of times...asking for the food (it’s like our table was invisible). On our package menu there are 2 items : “deep fried sesame ball w/ red bean paste & fried sweet glutinuous rice cake”. We felt those items got skipped, because they served it on other people’s table, but they didn’t serve it on ours. In the end we asked for those 2 items (again it took a long time to get reply from the waiter), until one of the waiter came and served us a kind of leftover food of fried sesame ball and he just said sorry it’s already finished and should be served in the beginning as appetizer (even though we already paid for that package menu including those 2 items). After that they only give us goodie bag filled with orange and chinese cake as an apology. That’s really dissapointing for us. Second, the portion of the food was small and the taste just so so not worth the price. That’s really ruin our lunar new year eve dinner and we don’t think to come back again here because once is more than enough to get such bad dining experience.More

Comfortable space, not too crowded. Loved the Korean section. the Beef Galbi was excellent. good selection of sushi as well. I don't like the Western section though. the Spaghetti tasted horrible in particular. the burger meat was still red
