Although Indonesia hasn't much left overs of the Dutch colonial period, this café embraces the history and share its typical style with guestst. What a nice place, you feel you go back a century as you go in... Well preserved with lots of nice decoration. The food is wonderful and nice wine list! Also, entertaining live music on the ground floor.

Cafe Batavia has a Dutch colonial atmosphere with good food and friendly staff. Compared to other places it may be a bit more expensive, but I would still recommend coming here for the building and atmosphere.

Having tried other places in the vicinity, I keep going back to this place. The food is nice, slightly overpriced but well compensated by the very nice ambiance, decoration and efficient staff

It's a historical place filled with relics to remind us of the imprint of the European colonizers rather than the local indigenous history of Indonesia. In the square in from of the Cafe many activities take place so the location is great... More

Nice restaurant with Dutch colonial architecture, the food is good. Try Indonesian dishes while your are here and don't forget to take a look the toilet. If possible have a seat near the window for nice view of the plaza.

Thank Carl F
