I love the architecture and the interior of this restaurant. It's an old colonial building located in Kota Tua (Old Town) Jakarta. The tropical ambience is very strong in here: the hanging fan, wood-dominated furniture, the palm trees. Really nice place to visit if you are visiting Jakarta. The price of the food in here is a little bit overrated... More

On the edge of the square where local crowds gather, filled with colourful bikes, happy laughing kids, street musicians, opposite the old governors mansion ,what's not to like about this area? I can really recommend Café Batavia for a cool drink on a hot day. A fantastic fit-out with a nostalgic Dutch colonial feel, cluttered with fascinating memorabilia, aged photographs,... More

We would rate this place a visit for the fantastic ambience inside the cafe, downside it's far to pricey, a coca cola was 4 x dearer than any other restaurant. Prices are reflected in our view to pay for the ambience, however, priced unjustified, they would be better to lower prices and put out donation box to keep the cafe... More

Surroundings and toilets are great but food is average . I would come here for the ambiance and a latte use the toilet which are stunning then go elsewhere to eat.

If you have friends that come from Nederlands, you have to bring them here. So they can feel how nostalgic the ambience. This restaurant so serve a lot of delicious food both nederlands or indonesian food. Preferable to seat nearby the wondow so you can enjoy Fatahilah Museum instead.

Nice restaurant in a old part of the Jakarta, close to the harbor. Service was magnificent, waiters were so attentive and helpful, one of the best services so far. Ambient inside the restaurant is a bit old fashioned but classy and neat. I had a feeling like Hemingway will come any moment. Food was delicious and served on a proper... More

Love the deco of this place but being a bar, it smells so much of ciggy, which i find unpleasant. Had iced capuccino and I didnt enjoy it at all. The coffee was weak and its not particular cheap either - IDR55, 000 + 21% tax.

Thank Suzu
