My brother wanted to eat Indian food in UBUD. We went in to this place, was not very impressive ambience, took us time to find a table and service initially was poor as they were short of staff. However we eventually got the attention of...the cook and he made it up to us with Piping hot food and nans, could not tell the difference between food in the best Mumbai & Delhi Restaurants and here. When we went back to out hotel i was missing for my iPhone not sure where i dropped it or was stolen in the market. Next day by change we went to same restaurant as was convenient and food was good. They remembered us from previous night and we again had awesome vegetarian food. I casually mentioned to the hostess that i had missed a phone and by change had i left in their restaurant. A girl immediately went to the office and got a phone from their safe box and indeed was my phone. I had left it in between the menu card. They kept it safe. In any other country likelyhood of getting the phone would be remote. The staff pay would be less than the cost of the phone, a very good temptation however the staff was very honest. This is typical Bali mentality, we may have less however happy content and honest.More

We made the effort to hunt down this Indian restaurant, but when we arrived we discovered it had closed down. Wasted journey.

Disappointment was the least I got at this place, food ordered was served stale and they are a disgrace in the name of indian cuisine.. to start with welcome drinks -। Jaljeera came without salt.. both the chicken curries were stale and when complained, the...restaurant manager had the audacity to tell us that that's how these are supposed to be.. then they replaced it with even more stale food.. we left the meal Midway, and instead of apologising, the restaurant manager had no regrets. He saw we left all the food, but instead of making up for the mistakes, he started avoiding up.. one of the waiters then got our bill and told us that the manager has done us a favour and waived off the charge of 1 chicken curry.. I got furious and insisted that I pay for all. Pathetic food, pathetic attitude and they are just spoiling the name of India. There is another indian restaurant Ganesh close by, which is very good.More

What can I say....its costs 3 times as much as local indonesian food and has been the worst meal we have had.. Service was poor, the food came out without the rice and by the time the rice came the curry's were warm not hot.....As for the quality of the food...when you are paying 3 times as much you would expect the chicken to be breast and boneless (when it says boneless) instead it was leg and had bits of bone in it..the sauces were average...it was a total let down...and to add insult to injury the bill is topped off with tax and service charge....awsome!!!More

My husband was craving Indian food so we just happened to pass this restaurant in Ubud and thought we'd try it out. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Naan and it was one of the best we have ever eaten. I am surprised to...read the other reviews as we the staff were really nice and the food was great. It is a little expensive but we really enjoyed it.More

Food was not bad, but preferred if they didn’t put nuts into the curry. a little expensive, especially the rice. Good service, friendly warm staff HOWEVER... I asked for water, and they could not give me the restaurant water from the jug, I had to...pay for bottle water, whilst every other customer (who were Hindu/ Muslim origin) were given the restaurant jug water on arrival. This is the first Indian restaurant in every country that I’ve been to where I had to pay for water. Make one rule for everyone!More

Oh lord, where do we begin. A week into our Bali trip we were craving Indian food and thought we should try the Indian place in the middle of the Ubud market. The experience was overall very poor, some noted below: + The staff is...very inattentive and need intentsive training. It seems like almost all the staff (4-5 staff) was hanging out at the gate of the restaurant and with 2-3 left to serve actual customers. Most of the time they keep talking within themselves / hanging out / chit-chatting with no regard to serving people + Toilets: horrendous condition of the washroom, thought I will use their facilities but -> actual floaters in two of the pots I that opened the gate to. I just couldn’t muster the courage to open the third door and went back to my table. + Food: not great, and honestly overpriced for the quality of food. Dal Makhni is great but I have seen very few Indian restaurants screw it up. In summary, this place tickes all boxes of a tourist trap -> please avoid.More

My husband and I want to know who paid the folks for these amazing reviews and how much was paid because I feel like I missed out on a paycheck. The grossly overpriced food is below average. They gave me a naan serving which was...only fitting for a baby smurf. I'm a full human and I don't know why they can't see that. The service is pretty good.More

This place had a good rating and we decided to have our lunch there. The place is big (was not full at about 1.30 PM). We ordered 1 mocktail which was not good (Shirley temple) and coke along with a satrter. The main course we...opted for Alu Matar and Paneer Pasanda (was marked spicy). Along with Fenugreek roti, phulka and rumali roti. All vegetarian dishes were bland in taste and had similar gravy. Not made well. Phulka 3 pieces were about 105,000 IDR (500 rupees) which was obscenely priced. Total bill for this much food was 636,000 IDR (including 7% service charges) . Roughly 3400 INR I wouldnt recommend to visit the place for those who need good indian food at such price. Better visit nearby newly opened restaurant that serves thali for Indian food.More
