The salad was awesome and so were the chicken-dishes. I specially should mention the excellent service of the waiters.

Went for a dinner with a group of friends and had a great meal. The service is good, aldough the comunication was a little bit complicated. They also had a live traditional group singing.

I was taken here as the guest of some friends who live in Lhasa and we had a great night. The entertainment of traditional singing and dancing goes along with the entertainment of the varied and quite hip local crowd. Sometimes a bit noisy to really appreciate the singing. The food was fantastic, possibly the best I ate during that stay in Lhasa. My hosts ordered Tibetan food for me but there was a variety of things on offer and quite a big drinks list. Modern decor, very comfortable with wifi and charge points at every table.

Not a big fan of hot pot, but this was decent. As the pots are individual, they are a little small, so you can only cook a few things at a time. Not a big deal in my opinion though. The restaurant is on the second floor; The entrance can be a little hard to find and it's just a small stairwell. The place seems very popular with Chinese tourists. The performance included a 4 person band and 2 singers who would alternate performing as well as doing a couple duets. Would go again. Good experience. Tip: If you can't handle spicy-ness, skip the spicy dipping sauce. There are two sauces you can choose. I really like spicy, but even I could only handle a little bit of the spicy dipping sauce.

This restaurant was a bit tricky to find for us, located up a set of small stairs off the street. First impression was great. We got seated right in front of the stage, surrounded by nice decoration, traditional painting and objects. There was a good range of food available on the English menu. We ordered two of their specialty dishes: Tibetan pork grilled with steam bread on the side and mini hot pot. The hot pot took ages to boil and came with a plate of (mostly) pre-cooked ingredients. The hot pot was so mini we couldn't fit some of the ingredients in it and took a very long time to cook. It came with two side sauces, one was extremely hot and the other herbal like. We also ordered the native Tibetan root vegetable and cucumber salad but they had run out of it. So it ended being just cucumber but the sauce was tasteless.

We had a reasonable lunch in this restaurant which looked over a busy Lhasa street. It was good enough to come back a couple of days later for the Live show in the evening. An experience to listen to the Chinese/ Tibetan singing. The food was fine although the hot pot was a little fiddly. Nice surroundings and decent facilities.

This is a wonderful Tibetan restaurant on Barkhor Street. Go upstairs. We sat by the window and relaxed. For Tibet, the food was the best I had. The staff was excellent and prompt. There was a live Tibetan music and singing show that I thought was very enjoyable and not at all "tourist".
