Ate most of our meals here whilst in Lhasa! Food ranges from Tibetan, Indian, Chinese, Italian, western so something for everyone. Staff are friendly with a little English.

Lhasa kitchen
Tour guide brought us here for lunch before visiting Jokhang temple.
Clean dining room, variety of food choices.
We ordered Indian food: tandoori chicken, vegetable and paneer curries, naan, aloo parantha and masala chai (tea). Food quality/taste was just okay.
Paneer dishes were no good. Aloo parantha (made in tandoor) served without any pickles/chutney/sauce.
Masala chai was weak, with more masala/spices and less tea leaves.
Overall average food for the price.
Next morning we came to the market area on our own and visited here again for a quick bite of aloo parantha and masala chai. The chai was good this time. As it was early, we were the only customers, service was fast; seems they get overwhelmed with big groups.
No saunf (fennel seeds) at check out..something typical at Indian/Nepali food establishments.
Acceptable restrooms.
Good option if in the area.

The prime location of the hotel made me enter it. I was very hungry after the meeting went till late afternoon and I entered this hotel as it was just on the opposite side of the road from the meeting venue. The food was served within ten minutes of ordering, which suited me greatly. The tables were neatly cleaned.

Our first lunch in Lhasa was at this place called Lhasa Kitchen. They operate at two premises on the same street opposite each other. We went to the newer one of the two.
The food was really delicious. As we were told, it’s Nepalese cuisine. I can’t remember the name of each dish, but I remember they were all very good.
Highly recommended!

Our group of 14 dined here on 9th July 2018 for lunch after visiting Norbulingka Palace in the morning hours. This mid-range restaurant is quite close to Jokhang Square and easy to locate. The dining hall is upstairs. Those who sit in the little coves on the side can look into the street. We were warmly greeted and seated at a long table that could accommodate all 14 of us. As we sat down they served us coke, sprite, water. We had a mixture of Indian and Tibetan/Nepalese dishes which were tasty and wholesome. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. The service was quick and efficient. We had Nan, rice, chicken curry, pork, cabbage, beans, spring roll etc. Although they had beer none of us consumed it as we had planned to visit Sera monastery in the afternoon. All in all, It was a meal that all of us enjoyed. I personally enjoyed the Roti with Chicken Masala curry!

Had lunch here twice - as a large group just after arriving in Lhasa and then just 2 of us a couple of days later. Food was lovely - had the yak chilli with naan the first time and momo soup, which I thought might be a lighter option than a plateful of momos....it turned out there were probably just as many in the soup, but it was delicious. Their Ginger honey lemon tea was the best we had in Tibet.

I ate here twice and it was the best food I had in Lhasa. Both times Nepali set meal.
Very tasty and a good range of food.
Roti was fab.
Good location and service.
Only down side for me was the loud music otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

After touring Jokhang Temple we were brought here, first to shop then to eat. We had to pre-order our dishes opposed to sharing. On our table was chicken curry, vegetable curry, sizzling yak with fries and noodles, yak pizza, cheese pizza and for the most part it seems our group liked their lunch. The servings were quite large. I ordered the sizzling yak with fries. Was not expecting the noodles or steamed vegetables. The yak was cooked nicely and came with a gravy over the top. Mostly what it lacked was flavor. My veggies were great as were the fries. Our service did seem slow for pre-ordered food and half the table finished before some had barely been served. Another not so good thing is stairs have to be climbed to the restaurant. Good thing there is a Western toilet.

The place was clean, service was rather slow. The menu was interesting. Our group ordered Naan with curry, Apple Pancakes, Fried Chicken, Spaghetti. Only the naan with chicken curry was good. The coffee was more yak milk than coffee. Prices were reasonable.

Very popular destination especially for big tourist groups. A bit noisy and service is rushy. Food is decent though we suspect it was pre-cooked and then re-heated. Price is very reasonable. A place to go if you spend few nights in Lhasa.

We went here for lunch. Our table was still loaded with plates of the previous owner. One spoon was broken and we missed a fork when our food was there. Taste of the food (Nepali set, cheese momo, naan bread) was a little bit flat, the garlic naan bread was the best. The Lassi was nice as well.
