I went there with my tourgroup. Everyone agreed: here you can eat the best yak-steak or sizzler in Lhasa, but they serve vegetarian dishes as well. And if you are looking for a good breakgast? This is the place. Excellent and friendly Dutch and Tibetan staff who make you feel very welcome. Notice the spacious balcony and the clean toilets!

We popped in here for dinner this evening quite late so it was reasonably quiet and we were seated immediately. Menu selection was varied with selections from tibetan to western cuisines. Service was prompt and efficient and our food arrived quickly. Food was tasty and portions were good. Price was what you'd expect from a western style tibetan restaurant.

Take terrace table and see people walking by, shops being busy and traffic going back and forth. The sunset time is nice so you see the transformation of the city. Local beer 15 yuan (big bottle), Tibetan starters around 22 and Tibetan main courses around 35-40. A restaurant is tested when it is not busy and this time service was... More

Dunya is a good place to chill - balcony with a view in the heart of Lhasa, clean and spacious. There's also a bar area inside. The owner is very nice and would often serve and chat with his customer. Staff here can speak English. This time we chose fried cheese momo and carbonara. The cheese momo (dumpling) taste like... Neat place with a good selection of local and international dishes. We tried the curries and tomat soups which I strongly recommend. Though the Dahl with the curry is a bit dole The food is above good but nothing special. Dinning is more expensive than other option in town though still cheap compared to a Western context This is four... More

Sometimes you can catch the owners who are super nice. The cheese momos are something I have only found in their restaurant. Amazing location on Beijing Road.

I do recommend Dunya! It is the best restaurant in town, mostly if you are trying to escape from the same dishes every other restaurant has to offer! I am not that fan of Asian cuisine, but I did try some local dishes and enjoyed a few of them, but Dunya is an oasis in that part of the world.... More

We found this little treasure 2 days before we left Lhasa after 3 weeks of traveling "through Tibet. Wish we had gone earlier. The food was great, very generous portions, great for families. The balcony is just lovely and offers great views on Tibetan city life.
