南京大牌档春季菜肴 Nanjing Impressions Special Spring Menu: Over 40 Outlets In China Established In 1994! Dex Ng Mong Meiyan Dexperience
There are many branches in Nanjing city and should have no problem to locate one. Most are local dishes and have unique local flavour and characteristics. Order a beer with you as food are quite salty and taste pretty rich and heavy. Variety is broad...and more people can order more dishes to try. Which one is good really is personal taste. Service is very good and price is not expensive. Seats may not be perfect as most are without backing. The name “Dai Pai Dong” originally means street food stall but now it has moved into shopping mall and upgraded the quality of food but still maintained some traditional features like stool chair or bench seat. Of course there are some private section which has better arm chairs. So it is your choice.More
This is a place where the local people goes, you bet you can’t go wrong with it! Don’t know what to order? Not to worry, there are photos on each dish n there are English. Not sure if it takes good? Not to worry, there...are seal stamps on each photo, of course the more of the stamps on the photo the better! No need to bring money either, scan the WR code to worry n to pay! Many places now do not take cash in China now! Not even the so called “plastic”.More
One of the best Hot Pots in Nanjing. In a very elegant mall adjacent to the Westin hotel. English/Mandarin menus. Very helpful waitresses who assisted in selecting the meat and seafood. Overall, an extremely delightful experience
We went to look for this restaurant on the 7th floor of Deji Plaza on November 8th, 2019 and found it was not there. We asked staff of two other restaurants on 7th. floor and was told this Nanjing Impressions closed permanently. Next day, we...ate at Nanjing Impressions on Shiziquiao Pedestrian Street that was opened and when walked in the Conficius Temple area, we noticed the Nanjing Impressions there was opened as well.More
It combines the best of the best of street foods of Nanjing, which many are not seen in today's China. It gives each Nanjinger of the older age a kind of memory of the past and gives the younger a good taste of the tradition.
The food is good enough here and the food is decent so nothing too scary for the unwary traveller. They are all over the place - but as I said decent enough, I live in Nanjing and have been a couple of times.
This place has great wooden "cubbies" where your party can dine in relative privacy, Chinese-style archways, and lots of paper lanterns. The service and food are mostly just okay, but I let my colleague order, so perhaps I could have found better choices. He said...this is a chain and not that special of a place to eat. It's in a mall, so that could be, but the atmosphere is great.More
You must try the taste of Nanjing at least once. I love their salt duck the most. However, the duck streamed bun quite disappointed, too oily.
Dishes are unique & taste exquisite! Go early cos q can be long. Waitress was attentive & didn’t wait for too long for dishes to be served.
We came on the first night of our visit to Nanjing. We ordered a set meal for four, the waiter informing us that this was sufficient for our party of six. He was correct. There seemed to be an unending number of dishes. I lost...count, but it must have been 10-12 different dishes, truly to give us impressions of Nanjing food. It was, of course, very interesting for us, this being our first visit to Nanjing. The decor and atmosphere in the restaurant were reminiscent of old Nanjing, rather nice. It would have been ideal if the food is of better quality. After we tried Nanjing dishes at other restaurants, we could only rate this restaurant as average, even though the price is very reasonable. I suppose it’s good for cheaper dining.More
Not that quite good. I had waiting for a table like 1 hour. A food not good and not bad at all. The price is not expensive

Located in the high fashion area. Beautifully designed authentic interior. Service is good. Food is just the average. I have seen better local food in Nanjing. I would not go there for the any special food but only for the ambiance. You may have to...wait to get a seat. Probably that is why their seats are not comfortable for people not to sit for a long time.More
