I was here recently with friends and their son. We waited outside a while before a table became available but at least menus were provided so were able to choose our dishes quite quickly once we got a table. The food was nice enough - my friends thought it was 4 out of 5 but while I thought it was... More

We visited here to eat dinner, ordered pork rib, beef tendon and cabbage soup. Pork rib and tendon comes with cabbage rice for $49. The pork rib is delicious but it is not something that you would crave for. PS. If you wont be drinking their tea and eating their pickled raddish, tell them before they serve it, because they... The pork ribs vegetable rice was fantastic. It is a must try. It comes as a set meal and really was value for money.

Delicious and fast. Try the pork rib of course (think Cantonese tonkatsu). Deep fried tofu also worthwhile. Lengthy menu. English speaking staff and menu. Moreish.

Ate Chicken and corn soup and it was good (corn was fresh). I had the pork and cabbage and it was very good, the chicken fried rice was tasteless, my son had the fried pork chop and it was good. Unfortunately the soy sauce was like non other I've ever had, very vinegary.

We ordered Pork chop on rice which was clearly their best seller. It was really good. We also ordered the wonton soup which was okay.

Enjoyed double rib pork rib with steamed rice and vegetables. We ordered an extra hot and sour soup to share. That was an amazing experience. I could've ordered a pork rib instead of a double pork rib because of the quantity. I thought it was smaller serving. The serving was not bad. It's a sure must-come-back for place.

After an underwhelming wontons in soup experience, we sought a restaurant frequented by locals and offering options more suited to our palates. Yes, we played safe and went for what appears to be the signature dish and most popular choice, double pork chops with rice. We were glad we did. It was excellent and the price was reasonable.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
