We met up with a friend that lives in Hong Kong and she suggested we visit La Pampa and she promised we would enjoy it. She was right. It's a small and intimate restaurant so it was pleasant and quiet and allowed us the opportunity to have a great conversation while enjoying a very good steak dinner. Everyone in our... More

I've been to La Pampa three times and never been disappointed by the steak. So you need to go with that in mind. Being in Staunton Street makes it pretty difficult to get to unless you're familiar with the area. Taxi drivers will take you to the door, however, be prepared to act like a mountain goat if you have... More

Visited during Hong Kong 7's with a bunch of friends. Had a fantastic tenderloin (large). The steak was cooked perfectly and was one of the best steaks I've had in Asia. Great service followed by a visit from a roving Elvis impersonator!

I've been here a few times (although I haven't reviewed them yet). I really enjoy great steaks and so brought my wife. She likes her steak medium which should come with no blood - it's how she likes it and it should be possible. It's not unreasonable to expect a restaurant to be happy and able to do this. Unfortunately... More

Last time I went there was over a decade ago (and my wife was having contractions - she needed a steak before giving birth - her call not mine !!) and I had to ask myself why I had not been back sooner.... Great meat, good staff and reasonably priced wine....and a really fresh mixed salad !! I'll be back... More

Went here for a late Sunday night dinner and had one of my best steaks ever. Well prepared dinner, with much taste and good wine.

It's a small but cozy restaurant. We've gone there because we were craving a nice steak and it didn't disappoint. The waitress explained us the menu before we ordered and clarified us about the portions. The steak was exactly as we had requested. The staff is very nice, which is something quite hard to find in Hong Kong.

If you come to Hong Kong and are looking for s good steak this is the place. Nice restaurant with good atmosphere ant the steak is excellent. I had the tenderloin ant couldn't fault it. They also have a good selection of Argentinean wines to complement the meal.

Had an early dinner here with a couple of friends: we enjoyed the service, but the meal itself was nothing to write home about. The portions are very generous, so bring an appetite, but the meet was really nothing special.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
