Don't remember what we had exactly guess it was not interesting enough for me to recall. It was our second visit there. We have always loved the ambiance at Caprice but a change in menu might help.

This is high end French cuisine in a restaurant with good views of Hong Kong harbour. Service is informative, attentive and achieves the balance of being available when needed, without being overbearing - a rare feat. There are ample tasters, and the menu offers a couple of selected options, which must be taken by the whole table, or an a... More

Top notch, creative food--my pigeon entree was complex, rich, original, and delicious (among other things, the breast had apparently been marinated in milk for a few days, bringing out the flavor and making it meltingly tender), wine pairings were perfect, service was expert and seamless, and the atmosphere was dressy and elegant--style is French with Chinese touches, flavors, and ingredients.... My sister and I had lunch at Caprice on the second day of our trip to HK. I booked 10 days before our visit and I was told that they are unable to secure a window seat for us. However, upon our arrival, we were introduced to a window seat overlooking the beautiful Victoria Harbour. We were flattered and the... More

We made a reservation. Had a drink in bar first with fantastic view and excellent cocktails. Milan the bartender was a skillful bartender without being over the top. Nice bar ambiance. Had dinner in the restaurant later and were blown away by the food and the service. Timothy the Manager was very knowledgeable and skilled. Every thing was top class.... More

Menu is relatively expensive, but the service and food is really good. Staff are pleasant and know what they are serving. Nice ambience too. One gripe I have is the reception's staff insistence on "having a jacket." If I was a tourist in HK on holiday in the summer heat, do you expect me to have a jacket??!! More likely... More

Six of us had the prix fixe menu. With two bottles of wine and tip the tab came to about US$1800. The atmosphere is really very nice, with a view over the harbor, simple but elegant furnishings, and competent (at times even friendly, in an appropriate way) service. The food, considering the 2 Michelin stars, was a bit of a... More

I have been few times at Caprice and they are very consistent to deliver simply...excellence! Everything is chic and smart! First that restaurant is beautifully set up with an open kitchen. Staffs are very well trained and smart! Food was delicious and the menu is regularly renewed so you never feel bored when you go often! Even I have not... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
