Visited one Sunday lunch, we had to book in advance, comfortably seated, nice ambience, extremely attentive staff who constantly topped up our green tea and removed our tray as soon as we'd finished. Food was delicious, presented beautifully, I had the grilled beef which was seasoned well, accompanied with the usual subtle steamed egg, generous side salad etc.Others enjoyed their... More

This is a regular place that I go every month. Undeniably, food is constant and Sushis are quite fresh . Teppanyaki is good too although expect a long wait . If you are looking for good food, this is a place to recommend . However, if you are treating someone a meal, you might feel that this is not worth... More

Came here for lunch and had a teppanyaki lunch set. My friend got a sashimi lunch set. LOTS to eat!!! I couldn't finish my rice at the end. Though it's more on the expensive end for a restaurant in Causeway Bay (two people for lunch: HK$700), the food was fresh, delicious and nicely presented. Will come here again for lunch... More

Located in causewaybay area, it is a pretty authentic-chic Japanese restaurant with very pleasant staff and amazing food! We tried a little bit of everything and the quality of food was excellent :-) I need to thank my friends for this great discovery!

We had a very good meal here we wanted something special and we got it. We would have liked teppenyaki but it was booked out there was also a sushi bar but we opted for the general menu. Great tempura soba and other dishes, we lived in Japan for a while so feel well suited to judge. The sake and... More

Went there for 2 consecutive dinners after my virgin taste test. Its "hira" beef (if i got name right) is perfect for shabu shabu. I tested it by overcooking it and it still remained tender and sweet without the need for sauce. Wonder what's Hana's secret?

I love japanese food and this restaurant is the best ever tried. I had tepanyaki and in addition to being excellent food it was also very coreographic. The cook prepared in front of us delicious fish (abalone, crab) and kobe beef. We also had fried rice cooked in front of us. You must try!

I am not a big fan of japanese food and was reticent to go when we were invited for a Saturday night dinner. Our host was clearly a regular at this restaurant, and this may have influenced the service, but the experience was truly exceptional. We had 4 seats along the sushi bar and were mesmerised by the sushi chefs... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
