On a Friday afternoon we queued for about 10 minutes for our table (bookings not taken if not a hotel guest). We ordered 2 servings of the high tea for 3 of us and struggled to eat it all. The food was enjoyable, not amazing, not awful. We had a very pleasant time in lovely surroundings with easy to listen... More

Wonderful high tea served with delicious cakes, sandwiches and scones. The ambience is reminiscent of the "colonial period" of Hong Kong with plenty of white walls, high roof and excellent service. There is long lines for the high tea so bookings are recommended. We were guests so I am unaware if you can book when you are not a guest.

How often do you get a traditional English tea? It's all about the experience and unfortunately not about the service or food. I'm giving it 4 stars only for the memory. I was shocked the bread was stale and the scones a little burnt on bottom. The pastries were average at best. The tea was nice. And the egg salad... More

Love this place, took a tea at tea time, just wonderful with live music and smooth ambiance. A little bit expensive but really worth it.

We stayed at the Peninsula and we had the pleasure to visit the lobby both for breakfast, lunch and afternoon Tea, service is impecable and the quality shows all the way trough. My wife is professional pastry chef in Spain and she was impressed by the quality served in terms of pastry and bread. We will for sure return once... More

I recently visited to The Lobby to indulge in the High Tea Service that is recommended by most travel websites when visiting Hong Kong. Having high hopes as it is part of a 5-Star Hotel, I was sorely let down. The positives are few and far between. Initially I thought the waiting staff were great and let down by the... More

The Lobby is a popular place for afternoon tea to many localists and mainlanders. the Hotel used to be high class and quiet, but with too many guests talking loudly, it is no more a comfortable place to enjoy high tea.

We went to have high tea to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Based on the other reviews we decided to arrive very early to ensure one of the first tables. We arrived at 1pm and were first in line. Time passed reasonably quickly and we were seated at about 1.50. Everything was presented beautifully, from the silver tea service to... More
