The lobby of this elegant, historic hotel is a wonderful setting for traditional high tea. You are surrounded by palms, a gracious staff and a string quartet playing on the balcony. The scones are heavenly! There's always a queue which moves fairly fast and it is not inexpensive, but well worth the lovely memory.

A group of six friends met at the lobby of the Peninsula hotel in Hong Kong. We tried the set dinner with four courses. Appetizer is salad or soup. Most of us ordered the roast beef which was excellently and professional cooked. The dessert was Tiramisu which again freshly made. Staff are all very helpful. With the great background live... Great place for afternoon tea. The Peninsula is such a lovely building with great charm and sense of history. Service excellent and although he scones were a little heavy for my taste the total experience is first class. THe queue moves pretty quickly and the string quartet makes the wait entertaining!

The only afernoon tea venue that you always have to queue and wait for a table, not that it is that good but historically it is the high tea place since bygone days, and today it is the place to spot celebrities, a place to see and be seen.

Had the Tiffany Afternoon tea which was very lovely. There was a long queue when I went about 2.30pm so I left and returned at about 5.00pm and it was only a 15 minute wait for a table. Staff were pleasant and the food plentiful (i couldn't finish it all)

Great great experience. The food is quite out of expectation and the environment is excellent for small group gathering. Music make us enjoy much and the service is consistently at high level. Highly recommended.

The experience of dining in the grandness of the Peninsula's lobby was muted by the presence of loud and uncouth visitors at surrounding tables. I am not sure whether the restaurant has a no children under brat age policy but they should probably consider implementing one to safeguard the enjoyment of other guests. The food was decent and the service... More

The lobby is not what I expected, wasn't too small or big. all I looked through was the architecture of it. Very classy and elegant, going in there seems like you went to the UK!!! It has a lot of histories behind the Penisula, for example the Japanese occupation and things like that.
