This was like my third visit to the optimist. Wonderful place on Hennessy in wanchai. They have got three floors with the bar at the ground level and the restaurant on the other two. Have got a great collection of drinks; especially the cocktails and...More

Highly recommend The Optimist for dinner and happy hour. Clearly one of the best place in Hong Kong. Especially thanks to Guzman and Andre who took good care of us.

I have been here before many years ago however, disappointingly this was a very different experience. Whilst restaurant ambience and service is fine, the food wasn’t. Dishes were overly salty ( same comment from friends dining) and in most cases the food was greasy and...More

Lots of birthdays at dinner. Light mood throughout. Food is good but not amazing. Entrecôte well prepared. Tuna tatami has excellent flavor and preparation. Nice bread service.

Relaxed brunch with plenty of food to choose. Mainly spanish themed, the quality of ingredients was very good. Staff were very good too. Try the cocktails prepared by Anna.

Went there with my wife and daughter looking for something similiar to a spanish gastronomic dinner. The place was easy to find. Looks there is some sort of a Happy Hour bar at the ground floor wich looks cool and "happy". We had a table...More

The title says it all. There’s virtually nothing good about our meal. Our group of 8 ordered many small and big dishes to share. The food was mediocre at best. Portions were generally small for the price we paid. The broken eggs with ham, which...More
