high end japanese, worth a try

This was my 1st visit to Zuma in several years living here and hearing about it. I went with my girl friend and her friends for dinner. The service was ok, just ok, nothing special. The food was obviously very good (we all took the dinner set menu) and atmosphere quite nice. Particularly good... read more

We've been to several branches during our 4 years in Honkers...and we keep coming back to Zuma. The quality of the japanese cuisine, the drinks, the service and the buzz never disappoints. And now the Saturday afternoon session adds a new dimension that is a perfect late lunch...and you'll find you won't have room later on for dinner. Neither the... More

This is on Hong Kong island right in the middle of all the action. This place has great atmosphere. The upstairs bar is cool and trendy with all those who want to see and be seen and their food is irresistible. Their sushi rivals any high end place in town and their wagyu beef is unreal. Go. You will not... More

This is the 4th or 5th time time I had visited Zuma in Hong Kong and as always the food was excellent. The restaurant is located on the 6th floor of the Landmark building in Central and you access it by the private lift/elevator. The decor is modern and busy but nevertheless it is somehow relaxing and it also has... More

Once you step in, you have a very high expectation due to the marvellous interior which is really amazing, but it's a disappointment when we had our lunch. The food was just normal upscale food, but the price is double for the same quality in other restaurants. You could even pay half the price for a better quality of food... More

dear d0rissim0, thank you very much for your review and feedback. our lunch is always very busy due to a high demand from offices around Landmark and Central. for that reason, most of our reservations have a return time, and this is clearly communicated by our reservation team upon making the booking. as an alternative, should not want a return... Can't believe I haven't been here until now. Beautiful interior, yummy Japanese food and excellent service. If you're looking for a romantic evening or a night with friends this place is perfect. We got stuck into the cocktails, the Zumanuka was my favourite.

I'm sorry, I used to be such a big fan of Zuma however my last experience was subpar with unacceptable service. It has completely gone downhill. Zuma offers a broad range of high quality Japanese food. I had been several times, but it is always great to eat here. The quality of the ingredients, the fine art how the food is prepared and presented and last but not least the nice atmosphere are always worthwhile to have dinner or lunch here.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
