had wanted to try this place. on 6th floor of the swanky Landmark mall, this is a large restaurant with table and sushi counter seating. tables are too close to each other, perhaps to maximise revenue. even then, they have 2 dinner seatings, though this place wasn't full on a sunday night we ordered the degustation menu which had their... I decided to book for a group of 6 after reading the great Trip Advisor reviews, and to be honest I was a little disappointed. Food and service are just ok and the decoration itself is not mind blowing. A really good point was that they were quite fast when bringing our plates and drinks.

Arrived a bit early for our resv so went out to the terrace for a drink. A very nice start. When the table was ready, we moved inside. Once seated and the menus had arrived, that's when the obnoxious up selling began. We would order a dish and the young male waiter would argue and almost insist that we order... More

Zuma has a beautiful decor, and a wide array of food for brunch. The staff was lackluster on our recent visit though - they seemed bored and inexperienced. We like the sushi selection and the quality of food is still good, but the selection wasn't as good as in the past. Hopefully management will sort these issues out, as I... More

Sensational time here at this fabulous restaurant. The service was brilliant. The food selection was enormous, fresh and delicious. The ingredients are if the highest quality - that is very apparent. Kids had a wonderful time and we can't wait to come back :)

It is in Central so very close to everything and easy access. Amazing place , high ceiling, since the weather was nice we sat outside in the balcony. The food here is always amazing even better than the European Zuma we have been to.if you are Japanese fan and fresh fish you should definitively try it.

We've been going to Zuma for years as it was always the perfect weekend brunch spot. Our previous visit was in April before the menu changed and at that time I would have given a score of 5. However since April it seems many staff have changed and they range from being inexperienced to just rude. We were a group... More

Tasteless. Quality dropped significantly! Presentation was poor and the sushi doesn't taste all the good. Used to be so fresh and extraordinary, not anymore. Won't come here again

Zuma is located in the exclusive Landmark shopping mall, right next to the Mandarin Oriental hotel entrance, so this is a very posh environment, and indeed when you walk in, the design is beautiful, large and inviting. Too bad the human factor - the service is not on par with the design. My business partner wanted a cocktail and for... More

We have eaten at Zuma in other locations so visiting HKG decided on a brunch visit. The place was crowded. There is a selection of sushi, sashimi, some (not much) tempura and a few odds and ends. Nothing stands out as special and I have seen as good or better Japanese offerings elsewhere. We enjoyed our champagne brunch, which for... More

dear DrStoat, thanks a lot for your visit Zuma hong kong for its weekend brunch and for taking the time to review us. while our brunch has been very popular since its start 8 years ago, it definitely offers a different experience than our a la carte option for dinner, or cocktails at the bar and lounge. we recently changed... zuma is located at hong kong's most prestigious address, the landmark, in the heart of central. It brings a sophisticated twist on the traditional japanese izakaya style of informal eating and drinking. complemented by a terrace in a surrounding garden on level 5, a dramatic spiral staircase joins the two levels, which brings customers to level 6, the lounge & bar.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
