This place is special. Everything about it speaks $$$$$ and as you'd expect service here is simply top notch. Ambiance is low key from the lighting to simple background music however the view of HK is one of the best! Ask for a table near the window when you book in advance. The tasting menu is incredible and subtle kick... More

Did not expect anything to be so marvelous since it was just a lunch but all the dishes and wines that were served just blew out my mind. I guess what is so wonderful here is just that all the ingredients and the methods of european & asian is blended delicately. It's not just the cuisine what so called "fusion"... More

Dear geneva708, Thank you very much for visiting Pierre this past April, and for sharing your kind words with us. It brings me much joy to read that you had thoroughly enjoyed your dining experience at our two-Michelin-starred restaurant Pierre, impressed by our service, and loved the amazing seasonal menu designed by Pierre Gagnaire and adapted by Chef Jean Denis... A little difficult to navigate to the restaurant as they share the same premises with the bar but once we entered the restaurant, the view blew our minds away. There were some hits and misses with our food choices but overall, the meal was excellent and the service was impeccable.

I know I'm lucky to eat in quite a few Michelin stared restaurants in the course of a year - but this does give me the chance to make very real comparisons. I don't normally review M*'d restaurants on TA unless they stray from the accolade Michelin have awarded - this is one such case. He food was acceptable, quite... More

Must be one of the best restaurants in Asia the high standard shined through from starters to desserts, superb foie gras dish and excellent wagu beef just melted in your mouth. Excellent wine list and at a high price tag but worth every dollar

It is with a little disappointment when I left Pierre after the Fireworks Dinner in the Lunar New Year. The dishes, both in terms of presentation and tastes, are within what you could expect from any French restaurant in a 5-starred hotel. Staff are trained but not particularly impressive. They speak quite loudly! A few dishes taste almost the same,... More

When you go to those types of restaurants, you expect a "whaouh" effect. In that sense we were slightly disapointed. It is very classical with nice views on HK. Food is obviously high quality and service as well. But no "Whaouh" effect

Your humble Global Salaryman took the unusual step of eating in this highbrow establishment at the weekend. Quel dommage! (as they might say at 'The Pierre'). The tasting menu 'Tribute to Hong Kong' was more like a funeral ode to fusion cooking. One or two dishes worked very well (the oyster in broth springs to mind, as did the shitake... More

Pierre is special and deserving of its Michelin stars. Why? The flavours. From the first canapé, a Parmesan shortbread to the last mouthful of the tart tatin, every mouthful had intensity. Dim sum means little eats in Cantonese, and this restaurant is about arrays of little eats with western and eastern influence. The menu is simple, but what arrives is... More

The last time we came here was for Christmas dinner which was really great. But since that was on special menu, we thought we should try their normal menu as well. We did that for our anniversary. Its really one of the best restaurants in Hong Kong. The food, wine and service are flawless.

Description
This stunning two-Michelin starred restaurant, situated on the 25th floor, is Pierre Gagnaire's pied a terre in Hong Kong. It is here that diners can experience outstanding modern French cuisine in a stunning environment.

With a culinary team led by Gagnaire's protege, Jean Denis Le Bras, diners can expect creative interpretations of classic dishes with seductive flavours that are truly worthy of their two Michelin-stars.

A vision of contemporary luxury, Pierre's decor incorporates luxurious fabrics in a mixture of charcoal, cherry, blue and black highlighted with silver and crystal. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views over Victoria Harbour while the central chandelier changes colour to suit the mood. Atmospheric, dramatic and very chic, it's the perfect setting in which to enjoy phenomenal cuisine.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
