I have always wanted to try the baguettes here, but the location is a bit annoying Made the mistake of choosing AUSTIN even though it was slightly nearer because you need to interchange trains about three times and the trains run on a five minute...frequency which I could have walked from the Jordan stop. What made it worse was that it was raining heavily that day when I got there so I couldn’t exactly give up! Anyway finally got there and ordered the baguette. Basically there were only three choices: garlic bread, small baguette and large baguette. While I was waiting I saw some magazine clippings featuring their baguettes and there are four primary ingredients that they put in which are five spice belly, Vietnamese sausage, salted pork knuckle, French pate (I am guessing it is french pate because I cant read the Chinese). When it was made, butter and mayonnaise was spread on the baguette first and it was filled with picked carrots, tomato slices and those four meats. Usually I am picky and would pick out any fat pieces but when I knew it had pork belly after reading the feature it was too late so I left them in there, and secondly there probably wasn’t much pork belly in there in comparison to the baguette. Luckily all the fillings in the baguette were heavily flavoured I could not taste the pork belly and the squishy fat! The salted pork knuckles and French pate were prominent and tasted the best. There was also a strong black pepper in the baguette too. In comparison to previous baguettes I prefer the baguette here because of the pate. I liked the pate so much that I ordered an extra piece of garlic bread and pate so I could get a better taste of the pate. I should have done that with the pork knuckle too.More

...this is only slightly better than average at best. The bloke making them clearly puts a great deal of time and effort into each sandwich, and is very friendly, and the filling was pretty tasty. Maybe not 'banh mi' as such but still very good...as a sandwich filling I suppose. However, it's quite an expensive lunch by local standards given that it's JUST the sandwich and drinks on offer. Also, the bread was a bit dry and it's hardly the best place to eat-in so, if you do come here, get takeaway.More

Situated in Jordon, this sandwich stall has been decades old. You will find most authentic vietnamese sandwich here in hong kong with most reasonable price. All the fillings(pickled carrot, vietnamese sausage etc) tasted great and are home-made in their factory few blocks away from the...sandwich stall. The baguette is baked warm and crispy yet still moist insideMore

If consider yourself a bahn mi connoisseur and are only willing to accept the best and most authentic version of the sandwich, you might have mixed feelings about Tim Kee. However, if you're just looking for a very affordable and delicious sandwich, you truly can't...go wrong here. The shop is a bit hard to find and very easy to accidentally walk right past as it seems to literally be a hole in the wall with only three seats. On the walls are past news and magazine write ups, but most are written in Chinese, though they're still interesting to look at. The owner was very nice and forgiving of our lack of Cantonese and was able to tell us that they have two options, a big and a small sandwich. The big is basically just two smalls and the fillings are identical but the sandwiches were delicious. The bread was freshly toasted to order and all the ingredients seemed fresh, though I could have used some sliced peppers or more cilantro. Overall a great lunch or dinner that's a affordable, but I could see how it might leave a true bahn mi enthusiast wanting a bit more.More

Have you been to Vietname? Did you try Bahn mi in Hanoi? Then don't even consider going here, it is such a disappointment!! The bread was old, the sandwich full of carrot and duck liver, the taste boring! None of that deliciousness with coriander and delicious...sauce, flavours coliding in your palate!! If you haven't been in Vietname maybe you will like it - it has typical hong kong flavours, with the duck liver and pork belly. The owner was nice and understood english, waiting time was 10min. Cost: 64 HKD big, 33 small, 8 garlic bread Do not recommend going there for Bahn Mi, at all! Visited 29.06.2015More

Very nice - crispy baguette sandwiched with Vietnamese sausages, pâté, carrots, cucumbers and stuff. Vietnamese baguettes aren't easily found everywhere in town. However, it's slightly overpriced and the baguette was a bit too dry.

I love Banh mi sandwiches so when I read all the rave reviews for this place, I had to try it for myself. It is a small shop with only 2 stools, it caters towards takeaway. There is only one kind of banh mi with...2 sizes-small or large. I bought a small. It was ok. There wasn't a lot of meat and the pickles were just ok and consisted mostly of carrots. I've had tastier banh mi here in HK, but it is ok if you happen to be in the neighborhood.More

It is the best Vietnamese sandwich in town. To me, the location isn't convenient so I don't go there often. Sandwich is made to order so the bread is hot and crispy. There's Vietnamese sausage in there and pate and apparently pork knuckle, carrot, etc....I requested the sandwich to be split in half so two of us can share together. It was YUMMY We also ordered garlic bread, wow, it is delicious too. The shop is very small and there are only two chairs and small table on the wall.More

I consider this as the best Vietnamese baguette I ever have in Hong Kong. Can't say if it is also better than those in Vietnam as I personally prefer toasted and crispy baguette. This place is in the middle of no where and the closest...subway is the Austin Station. Quality of food has been keeping up well.More

My first experience with Vietnamese sandwiches. Bread is ok (not sure what they have in Vietnam, but French bread is usually better). Strange looking filling of processed meat and pickled veggies, but tases better than it looks (and sounds)
