Food was amazing delivered directly from the show kitchen. The service staff was very good with great suggestions. Tasting menu was a must and obviously well orchestrated. I truly enjoyed the wines suggested from Australia and France. Definitely worthy of their Michelin rating and first on my list when back in Hong Kong.

Great food, wonderful setting, temporary style. The dishes are all pieces of art and the taste is just amazing. We were there for the lunch set menu and the prices are very reasonable. If you are into haut cuisine, that is the place. Highly recommended.

Recently celebrated my wife's birthday at this restaurant. From start to finish the service was excellent - a good balance of attentiveness without being intrusive. We were a party of five and requested to be sat around the corner of the bar. The restaurant was happy to accommodate this but if this wasn't available, it probably would have detracted slightly... Because you know it's a Michelin-rated restaurant, you go with very high expectation. And many reviews get doused with disappointment of that particular day because a particular dish just went bad, or the service staff are having a bad day. But L'Atelier in Hong Kong was spared of this disappointment went we went there for lunch. The "wow" factor was... More

Located near the entrance to Four Seasons Hotel at IFC mall, this cafe offers great selection of cakes and coffee or tea. You can sit for ages just browsing magazines or chatting with friends. Love the pistachio cake and white chocolate with passion fruit cake. Nutty and tarty.

It's an intimate space where everyone sits around a central bar that overlooks the kitchen. Being on my own was not a problem since there was plenty of activity to focus on. The service was very attentive and eager to please when I told them I was gluten free. So, the food... I went with some of the small plates... More

I was here 4 years ago and decided to return after shopping in Landmark mall. Sat at the counter which is always a treat. The huge bread basket is served whether you're solo or a party of 10. I could only eat 3 pieces of the 20 I ordered the king crab salad with avocado. Hands down the best salad... More

Joel Robuchon is located next to Four Seasons hotel. Love the decor - crystal chandelier, good services with smile, good coffee (balanced flavor), comfortable chairs - perfect set up for both personal and business meetings

As a solo diner, I requested a place at the bar and was treated to a fascinating view of the workings of a Michelin-starred kitchen. The service was attentive and the food was innovative, well presented and good. The wine list was impressive and correspondingly expensive. My disappointment stemmed from expectations of fine dining like the Joel Robuchon in Macau.... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
