Great improvement!

I last visited many years ago and remember the restaurant as dark, dingy and average food. I was pleasantly surprised when I went there last month at a friend's invitation. The place looked cleaner, had better lighting and all-around more upscale than the standard of Indian joints in this city (all... read more

I last visited many years ago and remember the restaurant as dark, dingy and average food. I was pleasantly surprised when I went there last month at a friend's invitation. The place looked cleaner, had better lighting and all-around more upscale than the standard of Indian joints in this city (all quite tacky). The singing is still there, and is... More

One of the more famous indian restaurants in Hong Kong. Not very difficult to find at it is situated at the very busy Tsim sha sui area. The signboards are quite prominent and the google map is quite accurate. Great indian food coupled with more than decent service. Decor is just about okayish. What matters is the food. The jarring... 4 of us went a curry at the Gaylord and were disappointed, not as we remembered from 2 years ago. The service was fine and attentive, but 2 meals were cool and were sent back . The madras was tainted by too much coconut, not like a 'British Madras'. Hong Kong is experiencing a cold spell at the moment, but... More

Have been a regular visitor to The Gaylord over the past three years during my various business trips to Hong Kong. The food has always been excellent quality and the set menus offer a varied selection of items at reasonable prices. Always reliable and an enjoyable evening with friends which is what keeps up coming back. During my last visit... More

Old fashion Indian restaurant with live music. Great service and great food. We will definitely be back next time we are in Hong Kong.

Excellent food and a lot of choice. The decor was nice and the couch was very comfortable. Portions in my opinion a bit smaller than usual at an Indian restaurant but the taste was amazing. The staff a bit slow sometimes, for example, I asked for a glass of tap water, and all I got was an empty water glass,... More

The Indian cuisine served here is really very good. A menu with plenty of variety, and dishes are tasty and well priced. A busy restaurant, that is popular with both tourists and locals residents. Service though, is quite slow and we were waiting a long time for orders to be taken and then again for food to start arriving. Our... More

This was our first visit and we had a great time. I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday and the staff were very attentive to us and even treated the birthday boy to a dessert and they had the live band sing a rendition of Happy Birthday. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious!

The restaurant offers excellent Indian food at reasonable prices. In particular we recommend dinner when they have very good live Indian music (old classics)

Went there tonight and just like previous review staff were quite rude. First felt it when we arrived and were asked if we had a reservation yet half of restaurant was empty. Then got staff who were either slow or downright rude. Pity as we enjoyed the food. Food was also quite expensive and $42 HKD for can of drink... More
