Just arrived back in sunny Hong Kong and needed good place to have Japanese food with a friend. Made our way to one of my favourites UNKAI. In the evening the restaurant charge Japanese prices which are even more steep than in Hong Kong but for lunch you have so many very inexpensive items. I chose the Tempura lunch and... More

Also in the Sheraton and another excellent dining venue. Offers lunch specials otherwise a little pricey but that is HK and you get what you pay for.

We enjoyed an incredible meal at this restaurant. All the produce, seafood and meats were fresh and delicious. The cooks were a delight to watch working and very helpful to suggest options. The service was extremely efficient. Overall it was a blast dining at this restaurant. Highly recommend the scallops!!!

First time to try teppanyaka lunch buffet, it is very nice buffet with a master chef serving you every single dish. At about HK$500 per person, I would say it one of the best valued buffet in such a great hotel in Hong Kong. Put money aside, the food is good and Chef is great. Thanks for the great time.... More

The sushi's fine, the setting is elegant, and the prices are other-wordly. We went because of the positive Trip Adviser reviews -- plus we were staying at the Sheraton and were dog tired. We should have ventured out and found something more authentically Hong Kong and less gouge-y.

We went there for lunch. The set lunch menu was interesting. I ordered the sashimi set lunch. The tempura entree was light and crispy. The sashimi main was delicious and well presented and it came with a good variety of seafood. I was too full for dessert after this.

I often visited Unkai restaurants in Singapore ,Hong Kong, Bangkok and Japan, whenever I travel to these places, Unkai kind of given me the confidence to dine whenever I feel like having Japanese. But it also slow slipped away from my mind when I stayed less with the few Sheraton Hotels that house Unkai, the one in Singapore closed with... More
