In January, my husband and I spent several days on Cheung Chau, an island off Hong Kong. A Google search brought Chocoduck Bistro to our attention. Though "bistro" is French, the reviews' descriptions were of good Italian food. We followed the Google map and it appeared that the restaurant no longer existed. A person outside a very nice-looking Chinese restaurant... More

This is Chocoduck's signature dish. It was as good as it sounds. Served European style with rocket and herb mash. Beautifully presented. The restaurant has American standard service and is run by a local. I was there early on a Friday night and there was a good ambience, quiet atmosphere, unobtrusive music. They serve pizza and pasta, as well as... More

What a treat! We were brought here by a close friend to celebrate a reunion of our group of elementary school friends from all over the world. We had delicious food, all presented beautifully. We had a fantastic butternut squash soup, salad to die for with burrata and delicious onion jam, homemade ravioli, and last of all crispy succulent pig.... More

Stopped in for a beer and tried a delicious Coedo black lager thanks to their recommendation! A great beer and a nice spot to people watch!

Restaurant run by friendly chef and food entrepreneur. Both pasta, risotto as well as dessert were a treat. We were supposed to have a quick bite but stayed the entire evening. Thank you!

This lovely Italian restaurant was the perfect place for some romance on Cheung Chau. An overall great experience. The smoked eel made me die a thousand times over; it had perfect, full bodied texture and rich smokey flavour without being over powering. And of course, you can't go wrong with burrata...especially when it comes in a heaping ball with the... More

It's not often in Hong Kong that you come across this type of restaurant: a down-to-earth, self-owned establishment where you have a chance to get to know the classically-trained chef, dine on uncompromisingly authentic Italian faire for very reasonable prices, and regale yourself in a friendly, convivial setting. Food was promptly served and cooked to perfection. The home-made pasta was... More

We visited Cheung Chau Island this weekend and decided to go back to this Western style bistro again after two years. We had a great evening and everything was just perfect! The really nice atmosphere, the wonderful staff and the incredible food. We had the local prawns with garlic and a burrata salad for starters whichever were fantastic. For mains... More

This is my second visit to ChocoDuck. In fact, I made sure I could get a reservation before I booked my flight to HK. Even with high expectations from my first dinner there, I was still blown away by the yummy food and great personalised service. After a platter of mushrooms, and burrata with cherry tomatoes, the highlight of our... More
