The street food is much better. The ratings have been hyped. Waiters are treating you as if you have not enough funds to be eating here.

The leg of goose I had here was quite nice and the decor and atmosphere make it exactly the kind of place I would have been thrilled to try upon first moving to Hong Kong but now, having had lots of Cantonese BBQ elsewhere, it’s...clear that this place has a few problems. Firstly, no vegetables with the meat and rice? At all? $29 extra seemed a bit cheeky. Secondly, I was charged for a pack of tissues to wipe my hands, which I have never had happen to me anywhere else, ever. Thirdly, there are much MUCH better places (the pork here didn’t taste that great at all) doing similar food relatively nearby for close to half the price. Overall, this place was a bit of a let down I am sorry to say.More

Dry and tough goose meat, possibly kitchen leftovers. A complete and total waste of money. Michelin, please take note.

i have been visiting this place for few years now, this is the only place i would go for roast goose. Here is a really local place so please do not expect any WOW service but yummy food. i came here on a weekday and...theres no queue.... there used to be a very long queue everyday before the Covid-19 tho. just order 燒鵝瀨粉 and take my money!More

I was expecting really good roast goose at Yak Lok from all the reviews I read, but I thought it didn't live up to the hype. I liked the crispy skin, but it ends there. The flavor was only ok, and the breast meat was...dry. The dark meat was better. The roast pork was average. The roast pig was very good with a great crunchy skin and minimal fat. Prices were high for this kind of fare. I'll go elsewhere for roast goose.More

Depending on the time you may wait in line, and will probably share your cramped table with others. But this is kind of normal in HK Central, and people generally stay out of each other's way. We tried a few well-known places and the goose...here was the best. I recommend the goose breast for Western palates - it's as dark but juicier and more flavorful than turkey thigh. The goose hindquarter is for more adventurous eaters. Go early in the day as they often run out.More

This place is the best spot to find rather unique meal in Hong Kong. The Roast Goose. Fragrant, succulent and delicious. A meal to die for.

Good thing about this little resto , it opens early at 10am , food was delicious , we ordered roast goose , roast pork and char siu pork.. we dont mind the tiny space since the food is delicious. Menus are in english . Better...come early rather than lunchtime , cause the seating area is very limited .More

Excellent roast goose restaurant in SoHo. You come here for the food, not the ambience or the service. Compared to Kam´s in Causeway Bay the goose tasted slightly better at Yat Lok (less greasy, more crispy).

We were there early enough to catch the goose servings when they were freshly roasted. The skin was still crispy and meat flavourfully juicy. The other roast meats were good too. Price is also reasonable compared to some of the other restaurants and it’s easily...accessible in Central area.More

This restaurant is always busy. I guess because of the protests we did not have to queue too long. Maybe the only perk of the protests! I took a friend and we tried the goose quarter and also the charsiu. The charsiu was so tender...it just melts when you put in your mouth. I enjoyed some sweet tea. Everyone was happy with their meal.More

I enjoyed the meal, but can’t quite give it 5 stars cos it seems pretty subjective. The Goose meat & skin is definitely very oily, fatty, juicy so if you like meats like that you will love it. I prefer roast duck as goose tasted...a tad fatty for me but I had it with wanton yellow noodles which was a good pairing. Coupled with ice coke with lemon, good comboMore

Restaurants come and go, even with all the hype, sometimes they can disappear just as fast as they become famous, I hope Yat Lok escapes this cruel reality! For myself, food quality and the way the business treats its customers are both important, yes, I...can overlook some of the ones that are really too busy to even care, they just dish out their most popular items and then you are on your own etc. Luckily we were not treated this way on our first visit here. First off, we were lucky there were no line ups when we arrive on a Tuesday evening at around 7:00pm, the Boss actually showed us our table and very soon our server came to take our orders. The place is small and very Hong Kong (meaning cramp), we were also lucky we don't have to share our table. During busier times, this is a norm, so be prepared! Roast Goose of course is on our minds, and Roast Goose is what we ordered. As you can see from my photos, the colour of the Roast Goose skin is in a deep mahogany (one can be memorized when looking into it!) with very very little fat left between that and the meat, this is a pleasant surprise, as I find most of the RG in HK are more fatty. Meat has a good texture, slight gamey, more so then most RG in town, I am guessing that they use less spices when they are marinating the meat before roasting, I find their version more natural. But the best is still the skin!! Sinfully luxurious! I like the atmosphere, unpretentious, down home feel, with friendly staffs, I hope to return at least one more time before we return to Vancouver! We still have to try their Roasted Pork (which were sold out at our visit) and Steamed Chicken!!More

The location was slightly difficult to find and i had to backtrack up the road to find it. It was a small store with maybe 40-50 seats. We went there for the roast goose, but also tried the roast pork and char siew. The roast...goose was great as the other reviews. It was a bit pricey and they only accepted cash.More

I went there at 6pm and only waited less than 3 mins. Dinner time probably has shorter queue than lunch time.
