Flying on a Friday night is never fun, after work HK airport express, busy airport.....rush to pick up some gifts and then try and find a lounge. HKIA has several but Cathay’s The Pier is a peaceful haven. It’s big as well. Stretches for a...More
Because of the usual flight leaving around Gates 2-4 (HKG to SFO), I usually frequent the Wing around Gate #2

Hi Jack, if you are a frequent flyer member of One World, even if you have an economy ticket you can purchase the Access with your miles. Be sure to have the letter from Cathay before going there. I recommend to apply for that at least 2 months in advance before your flight. Have a safe journey.
No there are no playrooms in the Cathay lounges. There is a small children's play area in the concourse around gate 26 or 28. Given you are in HK for 6 hours it may be worth getting out of the airport for a couple of hours... More
No there are no playrooms in the Cathay lounges. There is a small children's play area in the concourse around gate 26 or 28. Given you are in HK for 6 hours it may be worth getting out of the airport for a couple of hours. Its only a HK$50 taxi ride (5 minutes) to Tung Chung where there are some parks and areas to eat / shop
