Visited bier central on a lovely sunny summer day while the ladies were shopping , thought a nice bier and watch the world go by, only thing I watched go by were the thicknecked staff whose enthusiasm for being there was verging on zero and...spent more time kissing each other . Huddled around the bar area talking to friends who were sitting drinking , would have joined if I was to ever get served ! Beautiful selection of biers probably to go out of date before being served 🤣🤣🤣 world has lost the service industry to students who want the money but doing as little as possible for it !More

We visited this restaurant in Yoho Mall 1. Brilliant food, service is fast but good. Seating is a bit tight. Love the white asparagus and the sausages. Dessert is ok. The grapefruit beer is wonderful. Would come back again.

Me and my mate had been here today at around 7:40 PM. And we actually ended up going to the restaurant next door Boticario, thanks to the extremely rude service we experienced here. Firstly when my mate called up the restaurant 20 mins back asking...for a table to be reserved, they said they don't take reservations. Upon our arrival we see a table for 4 with a tag that said "Reserved" near the window. That was a surprise!!. We were told they don't take reservations and here you have a table that is sitting nice and empty and says "Reserved". We then kept waiting for another 15 mins with no one to attend to us. Inspite of a table being empty (right next to the door in the mall), no one bothered to ask us or to attend to us letting us know what is going on. There were other people waiting as well. That's when see two local girls walk in randomly and just go and sit at that empty table. The waitress comes in and starts taking their order. They broke the queue but none of the staff were bothered to ask them to leave. When we complained, the staff didn't give us any reason and just asked us to rudely wait shrugging their shoulders. The most rude part was post the above the staff just shut the sliding door to our faces. I read that as an indirect way to say get the hell out of here. In fact the only objective of the staff seemed to be not to entertain any new customers. That was enough humiliation for us and thats when we decided to go to the bar next door. Probably your staff needs a crash course in decent behaviour and excellent service from your neighbours. Totally opposite and an extremely pleasant experience. I am going to write my next review for that restaurant (Boticario). Please do feel free to read that. It is shameful for a restaurant as yours in a prime location to exhibit such behaviour. Please be aware of how COVID has changed things and any of the decent restaurants are trying to retain every single customer so that there is no revenue leakage in these dire times. Really surprised that your staff has the audacity to exhibit such behaviour in these trying times. I wish you all the luck for your survival if this is the way you treat your customers. I am not sure if there was any racial element involved here (I am from Dubai and my friend is from Hong Kong) because of which we were treated this way? (You probably don't like brown skin people is it??) Do let us know so that other readers can avoid your place from the next time.More

We came twice to Brotzeit with the family for the location and the food. The menu offers food for all tastes and the outdoor space is great with the ability to get a table while enjoying the sun. The first time we got there I...had ordered the pork knuckle that took approximately 45 minutes to come to the table. A bit long but I would expect it to take 25 to 30 minutes and the restaurant was busy... So I can understand it took a bit longer than expected. The second time we got there, I wanted to try the plate of mixed sausages with sauerkraut. After everyone had finished their appetizer and main course, I was still waiting for the order to come - definitely more than an hour after ordering and probably slightly less than an hour and an half. When we asked what was going on, we were told that they had some issue with the kitchen (another table behind us also complained about the slow service). Out of despair and starving, I finally cancelled the order and asked for the check. We got the check with the order on it. And out of nowhere, here came my plate. Unfortunately the food was cold... The sausages were cold despite being somewhat grilled for some of them and the sauerkraut was cold too. The order was finally cancelled. Not sure what happened that day, but while the food and outdoor space are nice, the quality of service is very low. While slowlyness had been experienced during our first visit, this time second time was really bad. Not sure whether the issue is coming from the staff in the kitchen or the service staff but it definitely has to be fixed. Unless there is a strong improvement, not sure this is a spot I would recommend to anyone.More

Brotzeit is a German beer hall & restaurant with three places around the city including this place along the TST Promenade at the TST Centre building. They have indoor and outdoor seating with fair ground level views across Salisbury Rd to Victoria Harbour. Opening hours...are 12pm to 2am daily. This is a nice casual place with reasonably priced drink list and menu with expected range of pork knuckle, sausage platters and other German affair. We stopped by recently for a late round of drinks before the government mandated 6pm restaurant closure rules went into affect. The Paulander Dunkel (dark beer) tasted as expected and the glass of Riesling was just fine. Overall, Brotzeit is a decent place for a round or two of German beer, prices are about right and the environs just fine.More

Fun place for a few beers and casual eats. Great location with views of Hong Kong skyline and outdoor seating. Large assortment of German Beers and the service is good. Only drawback is the food is average. The cheese/meat platters are fun to share though.

Cold cuts platter is excellent but bread rolls is poor. Pork knuckle is over rated from other reviews, found mine is over fried but it is huge! Pork medallion was done perfectly. Overall is alright and will try some other dishes next time.

The restaurant has a nice outdoor space with pleasant atmosphere. Good service by the staff and classic German food and beers. I had a Goulash soup as a starter and the taste was very good with the right quantity of spicy ingredient, while the sausage...I found of average quality in my opinion. Right value of the money.More

We had lunch there and I had the sausage platter with sauerkraut and potato salad and my wife had the Wiener Schnitzel. The sausages were great but too much too eat. I really hated to leave a little behind. Likewise the Schnitzel was HUGE. My...wife couldn't eat it all either. So if you are hungry for good German food and beer at a very reasonable price, try Brotzeit. We met the General Manager Herbert who was most hospitable.More

I am in HK for 4 years and this was my first visit to brotzeit. I wish I could come back in time. The environment is very pleasant, you have a sea view from your table and you have the option to seat outdoors. The...staff are friendly and attentive to your needs. There are many beers options to satisfy all tastes. The food... ah the food was amazing! The very best pork knuckle I ever had! Crispy and, at the same time, juicy. The sides were delicious, something really unique. As this was my first visit, I am eager to return and try the other tasty dishes on the menu. The owner was at the restaurant and he came to my table to check if all was ok. We engaged in a nice conversation and he explained me how rigid they are in regards to the quality of the food. I strongly recommend brotzeit to any lover of the German food!More
