Service is quick and there really organized. I never ever go for dim sum before 1:45 otherwise you wait and wait specially at Din Tai Fung. The only thing I don't like about it is here in Hong Kong it's Cantonese style. No doubt there is better dim sum elsewhere but they have a great system and again it's above... More

Completely overrated and uninspiring. We were looking for top quality dim sum and were recommended this restaurant. Outside of watching the chefs hand make the dumplings, it fell short. We tried several dishes and none of them were worth returning for. If your looking for great dim sum try Ho Hung Kee. PROS: Watching chefs hand make dumplings CONS: Waiting... More

Well worth the hype ... their dim sums are pretty awesome and hits a note, I would recommend the garlic greens along with the prawn dim sums. They could do with a few English speaking hostesses considering they cater to so many expats

After being recommended this restaurant we went to try it out and I have to admit I was amazed about the service, the food, it was delicious and very tasty. Prices were very reasonable 575 HKD for 3 people and we were full when we left. For sure it's not the last time to visit this place.

This branch is conveniently located in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong - the premier shopping area of Hong Kong. Unlike some other outlets in other cities, this branch is directly managed by the Taiwanese owners directly and therefore the quality of the food and service is top-notch. The obligatory items to try are: 蟹粉小笼包,葱油拌面,鸡汤面。

Often thought that one can never find a table here but the trick is to arrive at late lunch hour. The food is as we expected: hearty, steaming hot xiao lung bao and other dumplings arrive in short span of time after often. There are many fillings to choose from for your dumplings, and a good collection of vegetable dishes.... More

Din tai fung have expanded their empire across the globe, this empire has been built on their reputation of xio long bao perfection. Im happy to report that this reputation is well founded. The dumplings are so delicate and flavour full with perfect dough. The start of the meal for me was actually the shrimp wanton dumplings in special spicy... More

We went here because we heard good things, and went back a day later it was so delicious! We had the dumplings, pork buns, the hot and spicy soup, spring rolls, and the fried rice - all fantastic. Never had to line up and wait, very prompt service. Reasonably priced for the quality of the food. I'd eat here everyday... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
