Came for a romantic dinner and just loved this place. It is intimate with only 12 patrons but you are given your space/privacy if you'd like and you can really chat/learn from the wonderful staff about what you are eating, places to visit in HK, and what living here is like as they are just so friendly and thoughtful. We... More

we had an amazing dinner at 26 by liberty. 3.5 hours of pure joy for anyone who loves and understands food. the place is quite small, there might be 20 covers max in the room, everyone eating at the counter looking over the open kitchen with the stuff preparing each dish in front of you. the venue is pretty cool,... Ate at 26 last night with friends who live in HK and had dined here previously (great choice Stephanie). The set up is that diners sit around the prep area so you get to observe the preparation process and the attention to detail that goes into each dish. Without exception the staff are delightful, knowledgeable and engaging and this includes... More

In many ways the experience of visiting Twenty Six was great. The food, the preparation and the opportunity to see the team work in the kitchen when preparing, serving and presenting the different cuisines. This part felt quite unique and we really liked it, even though we came later than our neighbors meaning that we have heard the food presented... More

Thanks for your feedback, very helpful! We will discuss to see what other options we can potentially provide our guests as non-alcoholic drinks. We would like to mention that we have recently launched a "Light Wine Pairing" menu which consists of 4 wines to be paired with the dinner. Again, thank you for your comments, will share with the team.... More

Other than dim sum, roast goose, porridge and other great chinese cuisine, Hong Kong is also a fantastical culinary hotpot that features some of the best that fine dining and innovation can offer. And this includes 26 by Liberty. The restaurant is perched on the top floor (26.. duh..) at Stanley Street (Central Station). The menus are pre-arranged but this... More

Took my family, four of us, here in November. It was an eleven course tasting menure and there were a couple of outstanding dishes - The suckling pork was tender and flavorful, a langostine dish was prepared and smoked over rosemary and a had a wonderful texture. The hit was the blackaned/charcoaled pototatoes - Never tasted anything like this and... More

The food is very good with some interesting combinations but nothing too out of the ordinary in terms of taste and the presentation was a big plus. It has a very nice location and the ambiance and music selection is more impressive than the food. not to say the food was not good. I just felt that the other aspects... More

Block out three hours. Plan nothing else but dinner and be ready for an evening of AMAZING taste. If you visit Hong Kong and do not dine at Twenty Six by Liberty, it might be close to a criminal offense. This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. The chef is obscessed with the details, and it shows. He is a... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
