You can't book a table so you just go with the flow at Chom Chom, a fabulous vietnamese restaurant with great flavours and atmosphere. Highlights were the Black Cod, Beef Curry and watching the chefs clamly pull it all together -- a found myself clapping at one stage when a chef defty constructed a cold roll with about 10 layers... We had a most enjoyable dinner at Chôm Chôm. We were seated at the bar which is great as you can see the chefs preparing the food. We let our waitress, a super charming (Swiss!) lady, do the food ordering for us and we were delighted. The food is excellent, very delicate yet bold flavored and beautifully presented. Vietnamese cuisine... More

During a business trip to Hong Kong, was recommended by a colleague to try Chom Chom and if you like small, funky, buzzy, out of the way places this is definitely for you. Being a busy Saturday night without reservations we were asked to wait but this is all part of the adventure, sitting outside on upturned beer crates, the... More

This restaurant is small and always full. They don't take reservations so it's hard to get a place unless you wait. And waiting can be long. There is loud music. Good music. Waitress team are very friendly. I ordered rolls of beef . They were a little spicy and extremely good. I also ordered a drink phojito. Like a monitor... More

I could have given this place a five-star rating after the first bite. Sitting at the counter of the open kitchen, listening to awesome 70's music, and seeing the great mix of people in this tiny restaurant located on the side of a very steep street just made the food at ChomChom more amazing. We started with the Pho Roll... More

Was taken to this lively restaurant by a friend. It was crammed full but we were seated at the bar which was brilliant because we got to see the food being cooked. Food was excellent and the beer was fantastic. It is quite small so be prepared to wait for a table. Highly recommended!

We went here on the recommendation of the hotel resident manager of the hotel we were staying at in Kowloon. We got there at 7 pm and and were seated right away. We had a Far east smash, Srirachelada and Kaffir lime margarita they were really excellent. I really like to order 1 or 2 items at a time and... More

Perfect for late night drunk food or perfect place to stuff your face before/mid going out. Great ambiance. Mega friendly staff will make you the strongest pitcher of alcohol that won't taste like alcohol (maybe I lost my alcohol-palate from excessive drinking but it still tasted good). FOOD IS AMAZING!!!!!! Choose any of the rolls, none of them will fail... More

We had a fab meal at this very popular restaurant. It was almost spoilt by the one hour plus wait for a table but we enjoyed a few drinks outside and the manager kept us sweet with a couple of small snacks. Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
