Stopped in for lunch the other day with a co-worked. After a quick review of the menu which is pretty basic, we were able to place our order and have it served fresh and hot shortly there after. Since it was lunch time and busy, the staff were being fast and efficient so for some they may come across as... More

Having visited many times, this place is always solid, good food and drinks, great ramen and baos. The service lacks somewhat.

As a ramenophile, Ippudo is a must every time I'm in Hong Kong. The various broths offered are flavorful and served at the right temperature with the garnishes plenty and fresh. They also have an extensive menu of other popular Japanese side dished. The service is prompt and couteous.

I come whenever it is my day off, and it's also my daughter's favorite restaurant. The textures and flavors balance well, and price is reasonable.

You're supposed to get a ticket from the machine and wait for your number to be called before you're seated. Menu has expanded. And ordered Shinoaru Motoaji,a favorite "red" ramen. Ramen is delicious and came hot. I just can't dig the staff being a bit more courteous and not in a hurry to let us out of there. Everything was... More

Quick efficient service and very tasty ramen and tonkotsu broth that has not disappointed me every time that I've been here. On side dishes the deep fried squid is NOT recommended - too chewy and tasteless. The unagi was good though Plus they accept AMEX at this branch

This restaurant serves excellent Ramen and is part of a chain of restaurants. Great selection at reasonable cost, for Ramen dish with toppings and a drink averages hk$ 90-100 per person. This particular restaurant is a bit older and has some smell when entering but it is very clean.

Comfortably seated on the long table or smaller tables in a casual dining experience, you just expect a fine Kyushu style ramen to pop onto your table. Excellent broth, with ramen tenderness to your liking. Good place to be.

I tried this at Langham place and I had a hard time picking because when I visited the place their menu doesn't have an english translation. I decided to order their current special noodles of the month which is so dark and evil-looking (I think it's called Kuro, not sure). I ended up with a dark face as well...Kidding. :P... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
