Ambience - class has another name - ShangriLa Food - we tried to go vegetarian - and the result was beyond surprise:- Sweet corn soup - good - but the taste was typically standard fare - perhaps it was my over expectation considering the venue. Tofu sheets wrapped in carrot & black mushroom - since the dish is smoked, it... More

I wager it will lose its two stars in 2017. I had to pour my own tea and the waiter bumped into us twice until we informed him. Many of the dim sum were average in flavour: turnip pastry, crabmeat xiao long bao with no soup, pork/shrimp/coriander/yam dumplings, king crab leg wrapped in egg noodles. These were nice: scallop and... More

Shang Palace is not cheap but it is not the most expensive one. I knew Man Lau because of some little dissatisfaction with the handling of the restaurant. Upon learning my grievances, he swiftly settled the problem which showed his flexibility and smartness. Although we seldom spent lots of money, he never made me feel a little bit uneasy, instead,... Shang Palace locates at TST of Shangari Hotel is a well known michelin 2 stars Chinese cantonese restaurant. This weekend, we tried their Dim Sum Lunch Menu. 388 HKD per head with 6 courses including the dim sum platter and a glass of fresh juice. Taste wise overall, it is very good especially the home made tofu. However, one area... More

We were staying at the Shangri-La and had been out walking the neighborhoods after a visit to the flower markets (don't miss them!!) in search of Chinese food!! We found that the Chinese, like any country, like to eat other cuisines when they go out to dine, so we had to look. Finally, exhausted and tired, we asked out concierge... More

Not worth the price, Not like the wonderful Loong Yuen restaurant at Holiday Inn. This restaurant is good for mainlanders and non vegetarian eaters. There is a select of vegetarian but the food is too pricey for the price. Will not recommend any one to celebrate any occasion here.

The service was simply fantastic but for a vegetarian it was far too overpriced and not really worth it. My colleagues however, loved the food. It is Michelin star rated so if that is what you are looking for then this is the place for you.

Was invited here for lunch to meet up with old school mates some who had not met for over 30 years, and some who still live in HK.
