Holly Brown is famous for its "fried" ice cream. It's basically a mix of ice cream and other ingredients, eg cookies, M&M, sauce etc, on a freezing cold board, ie the "frying pan". It's also a nice place for friends to chic chat, sit down and have a coffee, just chill.

In short I think the best coffee in Hong Kong in terms of quality of beans , taste and presentation . Also very good sitting area with tables and chairs well spread

Do yourself a favor and try any of the many Holly Browns located around Hong Kong. I find the one in YoHo mall in Yuen Long to be great! Friendly staff comfy seats and nice atmosphere! If you are a coffee drinker or an ice cream eater this is your place! The Molly Brown Tango is a coffee lovers dream!

They are generally famous for their icecream which they flip over a cold metal board in front of you and mix it with your choice of toppings. The blue colour icecream is allegedly the best flavour. I've tried the chocolate brownie one and its nice as well, especially that the cut brownies add a lot of texture to the icecream.... More

I know the gelato is great ,and the gelato smells great ,but this place has for me lost its crown as the best place for espresso and espresso based coffees in Hong Kong..... Staff generally still friendly , and Stanley Street is a great location , but perhaps the pressures of opening more and more branches that manage to both... More

A great place to have coffee and ice cream. It serves excellent coffee, however it is always crowded and noisy. Recommended!

Highly recommend their piccolo latte - it's a fragrant and silky perfectly blended by their selected coffee and good skill of barrista. By far, the most impressive and well-rounded piccolo latte of all. I also command their quality control across their branches. Gelato was good and enjoyable. There's room for improvement for shakes/smoothies - maybe less milk and more flavour?

Holly Brown is a nice to have a chit chat with your friends. They serve good coffees and also teas and chocolate drinks. They have a wide selection of yummy gelatos. They serve the gelato on delicious waffles. You can smell the waffles from the moment you enter this place.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
