We were craving for some spicy buriyani and we had landed at the right place. The waiter took the instruction very well to make it extra spicy and we loved it. We visited 2 more times in our 4 days stay in the city.

The set lunches are good value and you can change the drink to a beer if you wish. I tried out of the ordinary and ordered lamb shanks. Really disappointed as the meat had been hi-jacked. But still, it's a good place for a curry. Indian owned and cooked by a Nepalese chef.

We ate two vegetarian curries and fresh naan here today and were so impressed. This was the best curry I have ever had, absolutely loved it.

We come here at least once a month for our curry fix and it's amazing every time, fair prices, good quality chicken with no bones, they alter the spice level to your needs. It's basic decor so not for a fancy date night but purely for the tasty food. We love the onion bhajis, chicken jalfrezi, the butter parathas and... More

Went for a dinner and were quite happy we what we had- Samosa, tandoori Chicken, Mutton Kofta, Daal Makhni, Roti- all were decent and well priced. Dinner for 4 cost ~HKD 450. A one-time visit is in order if you are in the Temple Street Market area. Just a 300-400 m walking distance from Jordan MTR station.

I had a simple Chicken Jalfrezi with fragrant pilau rice. I had mine medium spicy, the chicken jalfrezi was very tasty, plenty of chicken pieces, no bones !! Accompanied with a large bowl of fluffy cinnamon pilau rice. All for $120 HKD...I thought is was a very well valued meal with an amazing genuine Indian taste!!

This is no fine dining restaurant with fancy decor. The place is pretty small and basic but the food is fantastic. Very close to the Temple street markets and the Jordan MTR station.

I had been there 3-4 times as the food on the first day was superb in such a small restaurant. I ordered mix veg & the cook really made it in good taste. The cook is Indian so he knows the Indian taste. Price range is OK for a place like Hong Kong. No high class interiors but food is... More

I found this place by accident and a lucky one it was.... Only a few blocks from where I was staying near the Jordan MRT station, I found this little place. It didn't look like much from the outside, but the taste was well worth the chance. Over the course of the weekend I was there, I went in a... More

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighborhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
