Knowing we were on a budget the owner, Bob, helped us out by giving us good deals on the beers. Thanks Bob.

We dined here on our last night in HK. The night before, we had a drink here while waiting for a table across the street at La Vache, and the owner showed us the menu, which sounded very good. We could tell he was very excited about his food and wine, and decided to return. Things started off fine, until... More

This restaurant is simply a hidden secret in Hong Kong. The manager of the place is simply passionate about food and wine. Dining there is a pleasure, and the short menu has a selection of great dishes.

Stumbled across this small French restaurant in Soho area on HK island. What a fantastic experience, from the excellent attention and knowledge of Bob the maitre de to the tender beutifuly cooked steak. Ordered a bottle of New Zealand Pinot Noir but Bob brings out 6 bottles and gives us a breakdown of the different flavors. So we try a... More

I'd never use the term 'vibe' in real life, not unless I had a bit part in a film about Woodstock in the 70's or something. But Le Moment just kind of had a mellow atmosphere that felt worthy of the term "cool vibe." I found my way there wandering the orange lit streets of Hong Kong looking for somewhere... More

We came across this little restaurant by chance as we decided to go down the steps by the Temple on Staunton Street. As we passed Le Moment we slowed to read the menu board. It is a set meal 3 courses for $188. The owner (Bobby) presented his card to us and invited us to enter. However we declined and... More

Description
This is a great little restaurant in the MidLevel area of HongKong offering an unique dining experience of high quality and individual flair. It offers a set menu changing every day for Lunch and Dinner offering great food combined with the owners passion and knowledge of great wines! It is also possible to simply have a glass of wine, cup of tea or coffee and maybe a slice of homemade cake(delicious) and sit and watch the world go by on Peel Street. Peel Street itself is an amazing little street with an African Bar a Jazz bar a Chocolate restaurant/ cafe a couple of nightclubs a traditional Dim Sum restaurant and a Temple and a shop whose owner is in The Guiness book of records for making the worlds most expensive umbrella! I look forward to publishing my review of Lemomnet and who knows maybe it will lead to more reviews of Peel Street. Thank you! Lanze

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
