This is a wine bar, stocking only California Vintages. Expensive for its offerings but its Hong Kong. My problem was that when my credit card was rung through, I clearly checked HKD (Hong Kong Dollars) and when I got my statement, my charge was processed by CV using US dollars with a hefty exchange rate fee. Now to dispute this... More

This place is just great to sip (and try) different wines. They must have more than 50 bottles open (inside those airless machines) that you can chose and pay. Food is also good.

My parents were in town to visit me in Hong Kong. We all have a different food taste, so we ended up walking around in the neighbourhood and decided this place would suit us all. It looks great on the inside, cosy, nice interior. The waiter we had was very helpful and friendly, as my parents were asking for directions... More

The lunch set includes salad, and one ice tea/drink. I ordered the tacos which come with chips/fries and was HK$108. This place a fairly limited food menu and the service is average, but, definitely worth the price.

This venue offers a wide rage of California wines- a range of price points, regional varieties and tastes. I enjoyed a quiet meal on a Sunday evening and had some of the best pasta I have had in Hong Kong.....celebrity chefs (and you know who you are- boys from Essex and "stars" from Italy....), have some competition here. Unfortunately there... More

We had a glass of rosé and white wine. Neither were tasty, the waiter was of no help, no finger food. Definitely a place to avoid.

Unusual to find a little place that just focuses on Californian wines and liked the idea...nice menu of wines from private/family producers and knowledgeable, friendly staff. Nice that they sold wine by the glass in a range of varieties that allowed you to try a couple of difference, for example, Chardonnays or Pinot Noirs at cost effective rates. Also liked... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
