Po Toi O is not one of the more accessible places for seafood dining, but it's well worth the effort of getting there (MTR to Po Lam, then a no.16 minibus to the end of the line at Po Toi O) for fresh seafood al fresco -- sort of. The food is certainly fresh but the restaurant is an open... More

The place isn't a glamorous restaurant, it is a corner of Hong Kong that's more focused on good seafood than on decor. Their menu? A small aquarium made of a huge variety of fish, crab, shrimp, lobster, shellfish, etc. Basically you'd point and tell them how'd you like it cooked. We ordered spiny lobster, snow crabs, prawns, escargot and fish... More

This time we tried the "other" restaurant in Po Toi O. We were not disappointed. Place was packed with locals. They do not, however, have tanks full of seafood for you to choose. Now, concerning shrimp, they were grossly overpriced. Portion was smallish ( we had more than enough for two however). Flavour and freshness were good. But they were... More

I was told by a friend that this seafood restaurant was a way to experience Hong Kong like it might have been a century ago, and I was not disappointed. The fish is prepared behind a curtain, it is worth taking a look. I did not order myself (local friends took care of that), and the selection of fish that... More

For the uninitiated, this genre of local seafood restaurant would be instantly shut down by any Western health authority, yet, Fat Kee thrives in Hong Kong. Why? The food is irresistible, amazingly fresh and tantalizing, all at very attractive prices. The restaurant setting comprises well-worn tables and chairs, wooden plywood floors, walls of sliding plastic, chipped dishes, dubious washrooms and... More

We visit this place quite often for fresh seafood from the fishing village. We normally drive to the restaurant. Some people take a public light bus (minibus) #16 from Po Lam MTR station. Today, we park our car in a car-park with 45-mins walk away from Po Toi O and do a bit a leisure hiking before a great seafood... More

My friend and I were tired of the Hong Kong city restaurant scene and decided to give this a try. It is a bit way out, but definitely worth a visit. If you do not have a car, make sure you do not miss the last bus -9:00pm.

This is a great destination for a different hk! the food is super fresh and fantastic tasting. Probably some of the best garlic shrimp in the world, deep-fired squid is also great! We spent the day at clearwater bay beach. And took the plb (public light bus) to the village. Its the end stop where the bus (goes every 15?mins)... More

Went here with some family members living in Hong Kong. Usually we go to Rainbow on Lamma island but although I still enjoyed the food there it is becoming very commercial. Fat Kee offers a great choice of delicious seafood in a very authentic and natural setting. It's close to Clearwater Bay and you can park close by and then... More
