Probably the best Cantonese restaurant in town. Located on the top floor of the Mandarin Oriental, fantastic traditional Cantonese food.

Man Wah has been around a long time and it is better than ever. The Champagne cart sets the tone for the evening and service is the usual high standard. If you know the place well as I do...then you know Mr Valente the master of master concierges and Mr. Danny Lai who will handle any situation with aplomb. Now... More

had heard the name of the Chinese restaurant for a long time. Since it's my friend birthday celebration,we would like to try something fancy yet traditional. The highlight of the night is the starter - shredded chicken with jelly noodles in sesame dressing. It's a refreshing dish which is good to start with. However the barbecued pork was way to... More

I have been to many Michelin cantonese cuisine restaurants in HK and I often compared their dim sum offering. Reason is for dim sum dinning is relatively less expensive but at the same time can really tell how good the restaurant is for those relatively less exquisite food offering. Man Wah is definitely one of the best class in terms... More

What can one say about this place? You feel like you're walking onto a James Bond set. The view is superb. The light show from the outside of the building next door gives it that ultra stylish vibe. The food and service are exemplary. A truly special place.

I am not sure what was more impressive, the stunningly beautiful interior of the Man Wah restaurant, the amazing service of the staff or the delicious taste of the Chinese food we had there. This may not be cheapest place for Dim Sum in Hongkong, but you certainly get your money's worth here if you take into account the location... More

We ate a late dinner here after a day of sightseeing. There were only a few people in the restaurant but the staff made us feel welcomed. The food was amazing. We asked for recommendations from our waiter and he did not dissappoint. We ordered several entrees and rice and noodle dishes to share. It was fantastic. The Barbecued Iberian... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
