First impressions are of very solicitous and welcoming staff. They are friendly and helpful in guiding you to order and not bossy or cold at all (this might seem unremarkable, but unfortunately in expensive restaurants it isn't at all!). This is an expensive restaurant. We had the tasting menu at 1600 to simplify ordering - the waitress did send a... More

The location is great, the view is good, but food is ordinary, while price highest. Hong Kong is full of Michelin starred restaurants but this one has none, though at 3-star price. I am not for Michelin but I think they are right this time. Not a bad restaurant of course but paying this price I expect much more.

I have eaten many good meals here in the past but the two recent ones were not good- second course Peking duck dishes had to be sent back and the replacement dishes were still unacceptable!

excellent place serving up some Cantonese favorites, also do a really good Dim Sum, using fresh ingredients and some delicacies such as crab, lobster, truffles, and scallops. Delicious food.

We had dinner at Man Wah. The food was outstanding. We had the Peking Duck as our main course. It was served three ways. I cannot imagine this dish being any better at any other restaurant. The service was the best. The view out the window of the nightly light show over Victoria Harbor was amazing.

Came here for a drop-in weekday lunch for one. I had 3 different servers throughout lunch and all very helpful, attentive and friendly! Since I was on my own, they also offer to make the dimsum size smaller so I can try more stuff. I feel really bad that I can only order two types (I was still very full... More

Situated on top of the luxury Mandarin Oriental hotel overlooking Victoria Harbour, it is indeed in a grand location. We came here on the recommendation that this place has "the best Peking duck" in Hong Kong. The Peking duck was cut up skin thin, and was very good indeed. We also had the interesting looking Chilli Soft Shell Crab basket... More

Let start at the top - roast suckling pig was outstanding. Now the bad parts: 1. Charged 77 HK$ for cell phone use after told would be no charge. Saw charge on check and they re did check and removed. 2. Wheeled a cart of chilled wines to our table as soon as we sat down and asked if we... More

I recommend the dimsum lunch or dinner set with champagne. After a long business trip, when asked what were the best meals of the entire experience, my experience here comes to the forefront. Get hungry, and go :)

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
