we have dinner at Man Wah once a year when visiting HK, and we are always happy with the classical Chinese and Cantonese dishes and the excellent service. The honey-glazed barbecued pork and crispy Peking style duck stand out. If you're there with children (admitted as of age 6), there will be good fried rice or noodle dishes for them.... More

I'm always amazed at how good service is at places like this. I was on a business trip to Hong Kong and it was the day before my birthday so I decided to treat myself to a walk around town and a nice lunch. The place I had been recommended was full and I had passed through the lobby of... More

We were invited to join a friend's mother 80th birthday, she pick this restaurant to celebrate, as we first walk in the dinning room, it seem like enter some part of China in another era, then look out the window, a beautiful Hong Kong's harbour view, the delicacy of Dim Sum, word can not describe, is not possible to list... First impressions are of very solicitous and welcoming staff. They are friendly and helpful in guiding you to order and not bossy or cold at all (this might seem unremarkable, but unfortunately in expensive restaurants it isn't at all!). This is an expensive restaurant. We had the tasting menu at 1600 to simplify ordering - the waitress did send a... More

The location is great, the view is good, but food is ordinary, while price highest. Hong Kong is full of Michelin starred restaurants but this one has none, though at 3-star price. I am not for Michelin but I think they are right this time. Not a bad restaurant of course but paying this price I expect much more.

I have eaten many good meals here in the past but the two recent ones were not good- second course Peking duck dishes had to be sent back and the replacement dishes were still unacceptable!

We had dinner at Man Wah. The food was outstanding. We had the Peking Duck as our main course. It was served three ways. I cannot imagine this dish being any better at any other restaurant. The service was the best. The view out the window of the nightly light show over Victoria Harbor was amazing.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
