The décor is tired and they don't speak English but that's no reason to avoid this place. It's easy to find on Jordan Road and the food is excellent. They were very friendly and eager to please and found the English menu. A short wait but then the tastes were great and the price very good value. Definitely worth the... More

The restaurant was convenient located and easy to find. Understanding the differences between the buffet option (even for dinner) vs. ordering dishes - not so much. We decided to go with the former and got one of them cook-it-yourself sets on the table. The staff in their effort to help with it quickly pushed in faux meat, which I personally... More

They serve Dim Sum from 11, but at 12 there is a buffet with some Dim Sum, noodles, fried rice, hotpot, vegetables, spring rolls and a selection of deserts. Tip: come before 12 or reserve a table for the buffet, tables filled up very quickly! Staff spoke minimal english but were very accomodating to kids.

Easily accessible by public transport such as bus or the underground, this vegetarian restaurant remains here for almost thirty years. Its appetizer namely mock roast pork and roast gooes and dessert, especially sweet glutinuous balls (red bean paste) are yummy.

We stumbled across this restaurant after leaving the Jordan Street MTR and decided to give it a try. After the initial language barrier and being shown the restaurant upstairs we used our Google translate app to tell the staff we would like the downstairs buffet. We were not disappointed. A hugh variety of tasty vegetarian dishes to choose from and... More

walked into this restaurant and opted for all cart section upstairs. Recommend choosing buffet downstairs, as it was a better deal We were the only non Chonese patrons, which was a good sign to me. A large menu with some interesting new items, all delicious

Expected it to be a lot better, but just OK... noodles were good and with the pepper were quite tasty and a little bit spicy, so well worth trying... however, the dim sum and spring rolls were pretty bland/tasteless... We would not return, but veggie options in Kowloon are very limited, so if you gotta have veggie, may be worth... More

One of the few buffet style vegetarian eatery in Hong Kong. The food is average but very reasonably prices. Those looking for good value with reasonable quality of vegetarian should try this place.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
