A friendly cafe when you want a quick bite or an afternoon tea. They have special set lunch and dinner everyday. You have to line up to get in. First in first serve!

This place has always been one of my favorite. Everytime I visit Hong Kong, I always come here for my coffee. Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee.

While the intention was to position as above average eating place, I dont think the food was a true reflection of the goal. Looking at the menu, there were quite a few items that would arouse curiosity as well as apetitie. However, what came on the table was obvious the product of a chef that were brought up on Hong... Stumbled upon this place when visiting Sogo in Causeway Bay. Since I fed up with HK food i was happy to see that this little spot served Japanese curry. My fav. Also ordered grilled salmon.

Located in the basement of the SOGO department store, this café was a good place to take a break from shopping and to satisfy my family's slightly grumbling tummies. Doing a bit of reading on the internet about the café tells me that the inspiration behind the food offered is Japanese and Western. We ordered the 'Classic High Tea' set... More

It's not easy to find a coffee shop in hong kong that serve good coffee. Sogo cafe serves really nicely brewed coffee but in a very small cup. The coffee is quite pricey. But considering the spacious seating arrangement and the unrushed atmosphere even on a Saturday afternoon, I gladly pay the price of the coffee. There is a small... More

My spouse particularly enjoyed the coffee, except that she said it is always served in a small cup. As a Canadian, she likes her extra-large cups of coffee. Having said that, the coffee is fresh, never bitter or rancid. They have some fancy coffees, i.e. with cream, etc., but she generally goes for the regular cup of Joe. I have... More

We recently popped into the SOGO Cafe, taking a break from the hours spend shopping in Causeway Bay, including the very good SOGO Department Store. Prices are fair here for what we felt was a decent lunch, making this a recommendable place to stop to rest your feet and have a bite to eat or a tea/coffee/wine to drink. We... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
