Located on the fourth floor of an office building in Wanchai, this smallish restaurant serves quite decent dim sum. Had a business lunch for two on a weekday and the food was decent. Service wise, one of the older staff still has a little impatient "attitude" problem.

Located in the heart of Wanchai on the 4th floor of a commercial building, this is one of the better Cantonese restaurants. It's decor is considerably nicer and in better condition than the majority, it's plates and cups etc. in new condition and not chipped like elsewhere and staff don't toss the dishes and tea pots onto the table! I... More

We went in with a German, a Canadian, a Venezuelan around 12PM and I can tell they were busy. But they gave us a great VIP room and we ate our heart out. I kid you not. These people sure can eat. It was the best dim sum, all fresh and piping hot. So good I even dreamt of it... More

Che’s Cantonese has a $398 set menu which provides a good sampling of classic Cantonese cooking and showcases the skill of this excellent kitchen. We started with a subtle but fully flavored thick fish soup with egg white and a bit of tiny diced organic tomato. The South African abalone and duck foot in what I believe was abalone sauce... We loved this restaurant. The dim sum was superb. Located on the 4th floor, it is a destination. Tablecloths. Popular but little or no wait. Another restaurant (Tim Ho Wan) was as good, maybe a tiny bit better, but this second restaurant is very noisy, has an hour long wait and is much more casual. Don't miss either one.

Still serves good dimsum for brunch. I reckon the char siu bread is the best and beats out the ones served in Fu Sing Sharksfin and Tim Ho Wan that is scattered over Hk Island. A bonus would be an extensive menu but only recommended to go on lunches as dinner would disappoint!

This place is not hard to locate. It is just 5-7min walk from the Wan Chai MTR (exit B2). To those who are staying at Metropark hotel, it is just behind the hotel building. MUST try - crispy pork buns and egg tarts. The other dim sums are pretty standard but still good. Restaurant is open at 11am on a... More

To get there you need to go inside the building and up in the elevator. The place is rather small and has a homy atmosphere. Wonderful dim sum. Don't forget saucy pork buns!

We found this restaurant in our Loney Planet guide so decided to give it a try! It is located on the 4th floor of The Broadway on Lockhart road, easy to find. The restaurant is a little cramped with tables squeezed in but that aside, the food was delicious. We went for the steamed bbq park rice noodle roll, steamed... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
